The dishes are "salty" because it's not meant to be eaten by itself. It should be eaten alongside rice....

If you’re into Korean food channel you’ll notice that they usually describe food as salty bc they cant describe the accurate taste. Salty also means tasty or flavourful to them.🤗

Filipino dishes are meant to be eaten with rice, that's why they think it's salty. They should eat it with rice!!! We normally don't have a lot of dishes while eating. Most household only have one dish + rice in their meals.
@zh6474

it's actually quite ironic cause when i went to korea, they eat curry with LOTS of curry but little rice so it was too much for me but the korean person kept insisting that that's the way they do it! i guess if it's spicy they don't mind the salty taste that much?

Nope. I think they are not just used to the way how we seasoned our foods. Koreans are preferred a little used of salt in their food. Even with rice, they will think our food were salty, cuz they are not used to the way Filipinos cooked meals.
