I want to get into snowboarding and compete, but im 18 I dont see a reason why to anymore im too old. All these other athletes start at like 5 and all.

Punana Destroyer420blazeit you are NOT too old!!! If you are athletic, have a competitive spirit and pick up sports quickly you could do fine. However, to go pro like Chloe you have to have a natural talent that can not be practiced. If you have it naturally you can go far even for being 18 (that’s very young). If you start riding, figure out that you are not a natural Olympic contender... just have fun with it because it is Amazing. It will take you places you can’t imagine and being part of the mountain community is nothing short of amazing... why not try anyhow?

Mercedes P. I am very Athletic and surprisngly do catch on to sports quickly, but im not sure how to even get into the competative world. I enjoy skateboarding and I believe snowboarding will be even easier for me to get the hang of doing tricks with since both feet are planted to the board. Im in cali snow is far from the bay area, but I feel like I have a good shot at it. *Sigh*

Perfect spot to go pro out of! Well if you want it bad enough go after it!!! Move to a mountain town. At 27 my Husband wanted to snowboard he moved to WA from TEXAS just to ride. Packed up his shit, lived like a bum for awhile and even though he was “old” he was able to make it on the local scene and now he is OG status and we get free gear (hopefully) for life! Most riders’ goal is to at least get get good enough to get their kit paid for!!! Once you start riding you find out it’s not really about the contests but being out on the daily ripping with your crew! Good luck bro!
