    Son - what is the difference between Sachin and Virat ? Dad - Kohli is a famous cricketer of India And Sachin made cricket famous in India . I personally started watching cricket only because of this man , May be all his record will break But the carisma and aura of this man remain untouched.

    @@manjunathgobbani Sachin is no exceptions to number of injuries as a cricketer hence always talking about injuries and he making runs does not make sense. He making runs is because of his talent and hunger to perform as long as he could. You need to appreciate that. Also from an argument perspective this was his highest score in Test cricket and no injury was stopping him to play a cover drive here. It was his mental capacity that overcame a small weakness he had temporarily 😊

    Technically he's good..but most of his runs were accumulation on flat pitches against weak attacks. Went missing several times when team needed him..that is on 4th innings in testing conditions against quality attacks. Also on crucial wc knockouts ( 0 in 99 vs aus, 2003 wc final, 2007 wc). Reg this innings: It was a selfish innings on a dead pitch against a weak depleted attack ( no McGrath, Lee coming back after surgery, unfit Gillespie) which ate valuable time and didn't give our bowlers enough time to bowl aussies out and the result was that they escaped with a draw. The need was a quick 100, and instead this guy who all his career has hammered meaningless hundreds to boost his average ( check Bangladesh 2012, for that so called 100th 100 of 148 balls) paying little attention to teams needs. Good that we have a generation of virata, kl, Iyer etc who always put India first!!

    If T20 players don't play shots how will the team score runs. T20 isn't about defending. And yea if u talk about tests Steve Smith did it in against NZ. He was getting caught on the pull in the first test. Then he didn't play it.

  • @sohagdas8351

    @sohagdas8351

    @ptshrm That tactic can be only applied by NZ because they have Wagner. No other bowler has that amount of stamina. Jofra Archer bowled 7-8 overs of bouncers and is injured even today. Also the tactic isn't smart. They got their bowlers so tired that the other batsmen just had an easy outing. And hence NZ lost 3-0.

  • @sohagdas8351

    @sohagdas8351

    @ptshrm Right that's what the speed gun shows. But I saw Steve was really uncomfortable with Wagner's bouncers while it was not so when Archer was bowling except those 2 hits. Wagner due to his slow pace generates uneven bounce and maybe that's what did him.

    Sachin had the ability to change his stance, his approach, his shot selection etc according to conditions. Swing, seam, bounce or spin, the man adjusted beautifully to whatever was thrown at him. Even when injuries struck and he couldn't bat like he used to in his prime, he relied a bit more on some of his unorthodox shots like the paddle sweep and the upper cut, resulting in brisk scoring like before but in a different manner. His adaptability was the reason behind his longevity. This innings in particular stands out as the best example of it cuz the mental strength to curb your natural instincts is beyond the capabilities of mere mortals. A pure masterclass.

What a brilliantly contructed piece of masterclass commentary on exactly what Sachin Tendulkar was doing in the match. It was an honor to watch him live on 4th to 6th Jan 2004 at the SCG. He made more runs on these 3 days than he did in the whole year in Tests in 2003. There is no one better at comeback from a slump than Sachin Tendulkar. GOAT forever!
