It was empty even six years ago. I found an Xbox up there, wandering in the upper levels with friends. Power still on, bunch of games. Played some fifa then left, was nice but eerie. Not a soul for floors and floors.

Just as ugly as its twin in Los Angeles. 1970's architecture sure ages poorly.

nah, its pretty cool, same with the sears tower and twin towers, let me guess, you like bland 2020s era interiors and those sprawly houses or only old decaying buildings that you scream is so much better than modern architecture but has halls like a dungeon and a ac system as affective as a single ice cube in the Sahara

@@circleinforthecube5170 Good God, not at all! You must be out of your mind! While I do like some mid-century modern buildings and structures from the 1940's and 1950's, my absolute preference is Art Deco or Neo-classical!

@@louislamonte334 yeah, preference, in the 1950s they demolished historical buildings because they were considered gaudy at the time, also neo classical is the most tasteless bland traditional style around gothic has always been better in every way and paris was ugly after haussman and that out of place modern skyscraper that looks like its supposed to be in chicago, a bunch of stupid domes, you gen x'ers need to know your opinions arent fact, taste is different by generation. also 70s architecture is really not that different from MCM, most 70s buildings are clearly inspired or a direct evolution of MCM, 70s was semi modern semi postmodern, most 1920s foursqaures are quite bland compared to most 1970s era homes that the majority have at least a halfway up brick facade and a amazing interior, modern buildings normal use interiors are better than almost every historical one excluding some cathedrals. i stayed in a house built in 1820 for a month, it was godawful, i had never sweat so much even with air conditioning, also the electric circuits were in visible metal conduits, its also hauntingly tall and there's a poorly designed staircase. while the ren cen when i went on vacation and it had amazing rooms, so does my 1970s house, and my grandparents 1980s house, the ceilings are also low down and actually human scale. also this used to have tree pods in the ren cen and it was beautiful, hell its regarded as a beautiful space by many other people from detroit, the problem with the ren cen is that it was disconnected from surrounding urbanism
