I started listening to LP when I was a kid, I never knew at 36 Chester's lyrics would mean so much. I've been battling bipolar since I was 23. My twenties were relatively normal but my thirties have been really hard. I've been in and out of hospital since 31 totally 5 and a half months in hospital. This stopping and starting has halted my life on so many levels. I feel like I've spent the past few years playing catch up to my goals and restarting where I left off. I'm about 8 weeks out of hospital I'm stable and pushing throw but I'm tired. I still have so much life to live and I love life, I'm full of gratitude and have found strength in my spirituality. I really empathise with Chester and understand firsthand how dark it can get. Anyone who has ever been there understands and if you happen to read this and are going through a dark time please hold on there's light at the end of the tunnel please reach out to those around you. Heres wishing everyone a happy 2024, it's going to be a great one :)

Why do you think he was an alcoholic? You obviously don't know shit about depression or being a manic depressive person. You can hear it in his music how he felt. Have you ever seen the video for Breaking the Habit? He fucking kills himself in the video. Weakness? No shit. He's lived this long with it. It only takes that one moment of being at the bottom to do it. That's what's tragic about depression.
