That system is awesome. You really don't see too many more systems with lights these days, so it's always nice to see a healthy one like this. Sounds like it can easily last another decade or so.

I just love the old mechanical horns, they all have different pitches.

my new school has EST 757 horn/strobes with Potter RMS-1T-LP Dual action Pull stations, backboxed behind STI Stopper II's.

This gave me flashbacks to them elementary school fire drills

My school has those! And I actually own one of them!

awsome dude, i wish i could get one of those, but my mom would hate me getting fire alarms, so all i can get is pull stations

this is like my alarms but they were on constant

Best thing about these alarms is no strobe so u don't have to worry about if they are synced or not

Do you know the model number on the trim plates that those 2903s have?

I thought those horns were called the way I did but I always say to people: Simplex 4100 U Hornstrobe.

These alarms are old but are still scary and alerting!

All horn/strobes work with the 4002 except addressable simplex parts. newer SmartSync TrueAlerts need the 4905-9938 sync control module.

No doubt! 9838s are AMAZING!

Nice! I wouldn't recommend the stabilization feature, it makes the whole video shaky even if you not moving the camera.

Could you tell if those horns were 9838s or 9846s? I know that the 9838 are so loud, but the 9846 are louder.

The neat part is there's another school in this school district that was built at the exact same time as this one, designed by the exact same architects, and is pretty much __identical__ with the exception of the floor plan. Including the fire system, however the original 4002 died and there's a 4005 there now.

Hard to compare it to something. Louder than truealerts, louder than spectralert advances. You have to yell over fellow techs 2 feet away, and can still barley hear the person. Not as loud as a 4050, but almost. The pitch of them is what make them hard to compare to a electronic horn.

My philosophy is only use stabilization if there are maybe one or two minor shaky bits in the video, not if the entire video is a shaky.

Because they got rebrand by faraday an the light plates where made in 2001 3rd generation and the panel was a 4005 and the system is still there the building got added to in 2013 the other alarms are 4903-9219s they were refurbished from an old building an got put to good use
