Glad you found (for now) an A5 that suits. I like the TRP 68 but usually go back to the 52gsm for it's lightness and crinkle factor. Agree about needing a blank page, ugh to dots and grid for journaling. I keep a journal when I grow microgreens indoors. Last year I flaked on my outdoor garden and the blackberries took over. I'm in the process of getting them out and am pretty behind on getting stuff in the ground. Our zone is around 6A/B so pretty nice grow season. Lazy gardener? Same. Luckily I have a friend who isn't. I usually get gifted or can buy for cheap some of her starts. Otherwise we have a huge plant supply place not too far from me where I can get great prices on starts. I hope to use one of my TN's with a monthly calendar and blank notebook for my garden journal. I've never really kept one so we'll see about that!

The dot grid is a deal breaker for me, I dunno why but the dots throw me off. Glad I'm not the only one! Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I was using an A6 Techo from 2021, my first and only. I bought it for the paper with no sense of how I wanted to use it. I was writing quotes I liked, but started to feel like I was wasting most of the page. I’m going to swatch inks or do the occasional Currently Inked starting from the back. I think it’s an excellent way to use the missed pages in your current planner!

You and @adventuredenali are my favourite stationary/fountain pen KZreadrs. You both seem to have a lovely vintage vibe going on

Generally, unless you're getting a particular insert from the Traveler's company, the paper used by Midori is proprietary (IE, it's their own and not Tomoe River/Sanzen). The most common Midori notebooks are the MD notebooks and they have Midori MD paper. They also offer an MD Cotton paper option, which is starting to become popular.

The Pluma notebook is purchased directly from the Pluma Paper Company, they are merely using Amazon as the storefront, not much different than had they used Shopify or other. So in your own way you still supported a mom and pop business.

@@StationeryAt4 I want one e just can’t afford it. I would definitely get it if I could. I looked to see if I could find it but I couldn’t find it. I’m not sure where it is.
