From the Atlantic Shores to Music City: A Trip from Nova Scotia to Nashville

Destination Earth Presents: From the Atlantic Shores to Music City: A Trip from Nova Scotia to Nashville
Hello Folks!
Today we are starting a brand new series! In this series, Akane and I head from Nova Scotia, Canada down to the Southern United States! We are going to be visiting a whole bunch of areas in Tennessee, Mississippi and Virginia.
This video takes you on our journey there - from the long car ride to the campgrounds we stayed at along the way. We hope this video helps get you excited for the series that is coming your way, as we are excited to be sharing it with you!
Our first day saw us driving about 10 hours to just outside of Boston MA. We chose to save our money and stay at a Motel 6, a cheap and kinda sketchy hotel chain in the US.
The next day, we did another 8-9 hour drive and made it to VA where we camped the night at Walnut Hills Campground, a great spot that we ended up going back to on the way home.
The last day was a shorter 6 hour drive as we landed in Nashville at the Nashville KOA.

Yay road trip to Nashville!! So much fun. We loved our time in Nashville. Road trips are so much fun and we loved driving from NB to Tennessee. Quite a drive for sure lol but worth it and so cool to see the sights along the way. We stopped at those rest stops too - helpful for quick food and clean bathrooms haha! Always a great feeling getting to the hotel after driving all day lol. People really are in a hurry in the states and so much traffic haha. Oh no the rain! That's not fun haha. That's definitely stressful. Poor Akane with her driving experience. The long days are rough. Good for you both for sharing driving duties. I drove the Canadian small part and Greg drove all the US parts lol. Nice to relax and camp after your busy day. Virginia is pretty to drive through. Such a great feeling driving by that Tennessee sign and knowing you are just about there! Can't wait to see the next video :)

For some reason this trip seem very familiar. Guess I will have to stay tuned to see why that is! Great video and looks like a long, but fun trip. Definitely watch out for those crazy drives in the NE haha. When we lived up that way it was a constant battle just trying not to get in an accident from people not paying attention or driving too fast. Thanks for sharing and have a good one! - Shane

Yes sir, you should pay attention indeed! I flashed a little eye candy in the new trailer as well to grab people's attention - wasn't cutting it with just Akane and I in there, lol

We really do love doing them! How's doing them with younger children? We have our first on the way, so looking to see how that will impact the way we do our trips, lol.

It was an interesting start to the trip. I think Akane and I are done with the longer road trips. We have done a lot of close stuff, but these 30 hour drives are a little much. I think we'll start flying and then renting a car from now on, lol

Ten hours driving would be my idea of hell and I thought (could be wrong) flying was quite cheap over there? That hotel must have been a welcome sight after that long days driving but I would have wanted a tad more for my supper....I hate driving at the best of times and being close to 2 accidents would have made it even worse but good to see the weather was good to you where you camped, cheers Alan

If it's from within the states, yes, flights are cheap. Anything to do with Canada, including most of the time in Canada is quite expensive. You can go to Toronto for cheap (about $200) but everywhere else is expensive. Since this was a 5 week trip, taking our own car was the cheapest way to do it overall.

Yeah, I'm sure that people drive crazier than the U.S. than in Canada. I have never had a good experience with a Motel 6 either. Nashville is one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. I haven't been there for over 12 years, and it will be cool to see how it's changed.

You'll get to see a few videos from the city. It's one of, if not our favorite, city we've been to. Lots of excellent music, people were nice, city was clean and easy to explore and the weather was great. We really loved it.
