Very respectful for a powerful yet tragic story
I’m impressed with the writing: descriptive, without falling into cliché or hyperbole. Nice job walking that tightrope!

What good is it to summit Everest if you don’t live to tell the tale??

It's hard to answer this question. everyone has their own vision of this world and everyone has their own goals. everyone takes their own risks
I believe he should have turned back. He put his life on the line with that decision to continue without bottled oxygen.

I totally see what you mean: it looks like a frozen wasteland. Thank you for your comment!
Ms. CHOMOLUNGMA is the highest pt. above sea level on Earth. She is the Goddess born here to oversee the World. The disrespect of climbers ascending her saddens me. She does show her anger on occasion. Hence the deaths...😢😢😢

Why are people not experienced and able taken up that mt. It isn't a tourist stop.
18 died but half of them did not remain forever on the icy slopes.

Yes you are right. I just added a literary style to abstractly describe what is happening. thanks for your comment
