It's so sadning that the people who oppose this, don't understand the importance of research and development, when its the most important aspect of our lives, it gives us hope that some of our deepest questions of reality might possibly be answered someday. I appreciate everyone who spends their time, energy and money into exploring our realities and propelling us forward, I think they are incredibly underappreciated.

I'm not so much opposed as frankly skeptical. The tendency for anything that commands that level of funding to degenerate into some sort of commercial racket, (like for example the current farce that is the American Space program,) seems almost inevitable ? CERN was massively over-hyped and OK whilst it it did confirm the existence of the Higgs boson, (although they still had to lower the bar even for that,) non of the other stuff, (such as the Super Symmetry partners of Standard Model particles,) has turned up, not even a trace. There are always real and interesting problems to be examined, (such as the achirality of the Neutrino,) but it's difficult to see what contribution something like CERN can really make to solving them since they require a completely different kind of apparatus experiment.

Who else in the world is pushing the boundaries of science with space telescopes, deep space probes, Mars rovers, a prove that studied the sun up close!? Then there is ISS and preparations to return to the moon. Space is the only rocket company expected to launch over 100 flights and land almost every booster! Then there Starship which people are divided over, but if you aren't at least impressed with technology in play and developing then you aren't paying attention.

@@Eris123451If the likes of Volta, Faraday, Hertz and Maxwell etc had not made their discoveries we would be still all be living a medieval life. The technology that will emerge from the current research is beyond most people imagination, although I am sure the likes of Apple are busy dreaming up the next “must have” gadget with which to vacuum our wallets with.

The moment we stop exploring is the moment we cease to exist.

Но если через новые опыты, точнее их результаты на это смотреть. Да предлагаю *пробовать* чистым взглядом смотреть на обнаженную Вселенную без шумовых загрязнений. При детектирование гравитационных волн, детектором LIGO, полезный сигнал 0,2% на шум приходится 99,8%. По другому можно сказать. - Если случайно совпадают шумы (мусор), на двух или трёх детекторах, то выдадут это за гравитационные волны, используя шаблоны. На “ГИБРИД оптическом гироскопе" при регистрации, квантов гравитации оптом. Возможно полезные сигнал получим 74% и на шумы 26%. - Вам выбирать рулетку, что измеряет Вселенную и из чего, главное она состоит. Итак садимся в автотранспорт или самолёт и в нём выполним опыт Майкельсона-Морли, определяя им прямолинейную скорость. - О таком опыте мечтал ещё Эйнштейн. Depends on what job you want. if it is administrative or cleaning staff or something, its possible to just send a aplication to CERN. If you want to go to reasearch, you have to be sent by your university or organisation to a specific collaboration or experiment. How you get sent by the university I dont know, I am still underage.

Working at an university I know forst hand how frustrating it is to talk about exotic but in my opinion exciting topics because of the stigma attached to it. Unfortonately the difference from a real curious scientist to a technician posing as a scientist and working for a corporate cartel is hard to see.

Of course that was right before Einstein's Special theory of relativity, General Theory of Relativity, Madem's Curie's work in radioactive elements, quantum mechanics etc. etc. etc.

Theres no such thing , plasma is what makes atoms real, only a little and easy maths and you can see proton and electron are the same entity , it would have been better to rebuild some stuff long ago acording to well proved formula and constants, LHC an obscene expensive machine to smash an atom and see the particles they invented on the sparks, the thruth is quite more simplier

Hint: not because they have the same charge but because the energy in joules of the electron ( quantum fundamental particle of electricity) is the same energy as the mass from the proton composed by 3 quark.
