Wow I relate to this guy so much
Helpful points. Makes sense in my experience. Missing acknowledgement is coercive power that uses scarcity and competition drive selfishness and addictive work. I see that both the systems of capitalism and socialism can be subject to this. This i see as the tension between financial and social capitalism as well as the balance between owner and working class power. May we keep detecting and seeking effective balance. By the way, why is Saint Augustine smarter than all of us?
I love his book - and I am on the second reading. I do not like the word "LIBERAL" - anyone that really wants to be grounded and void of the trappings of society and it's constructs - and wants to be void of materialism, comparison, ego, etc - can find it right in the bible. If you follow the word of God and listen to select works of philosophy, you will find your way. "Liberalism" ain't got nothin' to do with it. Drop the construct and follow the code 🙂
