That’s awesome! Thanks for doing this. What would a reasonable shelf life expectancy be for this?

That's a really good question! I would say that it's better in small batches, because I've even noticed mine tasting a little different after 2 weeks. It's not bad, just different. I'm going to make an educated guess of a month in the refrigerator. I'm also going to guess that you could extend the life by pouring it into an ice tray and freezing it. I probably wouldn't leave this out on the counter. It doesn't have as much sugar as say a simple syrup, so I wouldn't expect any sort of shelf stability out of it. All of these are, however, my best guesses.

I am genuinely in awe of your ability to hold my attention every time. It's not an easy feat, as I have the attention span of the average toddler. Your subject matter is so interesting. Your voice is soothing, and your speaking cadence is great. Well done, and thanks for the videos!

No, I've never made it but maybe I can! Sarsaparilla, sherry bark, sassafras, ginger and cinnamon! I knew that stuff was medicinal! Does root beer really have all those ingredients??

Cherry bark. There's a list of stuff that I did, plus what you could do in the description.

Looked great till all of that brown sugar, I would like to see you ferment it into alcohol to get rid of the sugar and have a nice alcoholic beverage that’s good for you

Feel free to ferment some yourself and let me know how it turns out. I was making root beer floats to tie into my monthly theme, and I was eventually going to serve them to kids in my real life. These had around 35 grams of sugar per 12 oz serving, which is actually less than a can of commercial stuff, and less than I actually used to make the floats.
