There are thousands of thousands of Jewish men who have a comparable tale. Some are lost, some are still searching, some end up like Rabbi. Mazel Tov.

I would love to talk with this rabbi. When I was young I looked into Chabad and becoming Baal t'shuva. I learned a lot. And deeper ways w mitzvot. Yet also saw so many women suffering and unhappy. The Rebetzot( is that correct?) were generally happier but not so many others that it wiped away the memory of women's repressed controlled life. So, I did not. I love Judaism but Chasidus, very mixed.
