My advise, don't get lost between DBA, Data Science and programming/development. Moving to cloud is a must do. DBA jobs are reduced to more than half in cloud era, and not sure why are you even delving into programming. Data Science is niche, hence consider Data Engineering in cloud. E.g. Azure Data Engineer Associate track. I've been a SQL Server DBA, and followed what I am advising. Hope it helps and all the best!

Data structure, algorithms knowledge is good across roles in data, ML and AI. Try looking for resources on KZread as well to learn that.

The sooner you move over from Test Automation is better, especially given GenAI disruption in the space. You can definitely make a move with 7 yrs of experience.

I have been studying Azure Fundamentals from Microsft off lately, but I was self- doubting as i come from a Non IT background, and it was overwhelming and the fact I am late in the race being 42. GCP would be the 3rd preferred option. For infrastructure cloud, AWS & Azure would continue to dominate. Watch my another video comparing 3 clouds, and you would know why and why not. If you are at all into Data, analytics etc. do consider GCP seriously. kzread.info/dash/bejne/m5h3raWods-xnqQ.html

I got about 68% in 12th, average student. I pursued my grad from distance learning (ignou), ended up working at top tiers. It doesn't matter anymore.
