I am a Bcom Grad and I have been a SQL Developer for last 10 years. I too had a similar journey like him but my total years of experience is more than 17 years. In IT industry continuous self learning, self motivation and outperforming other Tech Grad colleagues in the interview and on the job is the only way to grow up the career and be successful from BCOM grad and get paid as IT Grad. I too am pursuing Cloud technologies from on Premise technologies. His story resonates with my struggle and my successful. We are outliers in IT industry.

When deploying your code base on cloud it provide free virtual free virtual machine which is Linux based so if you want ios or mac you have to pay extra so most companies 98 percent prefer learning linux for the purpose so its a very important role

During the gap, I freelanced as a search engine evaluator. Now, I'm looking to make a transition into a full-time job once again. I'd really appreciate your guidance on how to navigate this fresh start. I'm fully committed to learning new skills, particularly in the field of cloud computing, which has captured my keen interest. My main concern is whether companies would be willing to hire me despite my age, given that I possess the right skill set. Your advice and insights on this matter would be invaluable.

Companies with Big Mnc tag will not consider but early age startup , mid level startup will definitely higher you but you need to prove them that you have sufficient knowledge and in the 10 year time you have accumulated some good non tech skills like :- price negotiation, customer engagement, team building, communication, client handling etc. which will be very beneficial for any kind of startup as all startup doesn’t have a sales & Business analysis team mostly the team lead or managers sit for bidding a project so with your cloud knowledge you will be the perfect candidate as a Digital transformation leader etc.

It's very motivating for self-taught developers like me who come from a non-IT background. As a Bachelor of Commerce student myself, I am also very eager to upskill and aim to secure positions in these dream companies. 🙏

I have started learning AZ900 and then will go with advance courses. Though as per other I am well settled in terms of salary but still I want to switch my profile.

Same story of mine Bcom correspondence 3500/- job from 28lpa in cloud. Those are the days of struggle and pain...😢
