📜 Video Description 📜
Ok...so maybe our poker journey could have started off a bit better, but it's early days. In this real life poker coaching video we go through all of Mark's biggest losing hands for the week. Did Mark misplay these spots or did he just get unlucky? Is variance to blame for these poor results or are we still struggling to fold enough? Only one way to find out.

Love Mark’s attitude. A lot of poker players have a fixed mindset and are resistant to feedback. Mark is the opposite and He will certainly grow a lot faster because of it

Thanks for the great quality content. I only play PLO and PLO5, but find the concepts presented in your videos extremely valuable and a great lesson in how organise your thought process while playing, contruct ranges, and effectively use different bet sizes. Your channel has taught me a lot about how to increase my winrate at plo, and you never even mention that game. Thank you.

Hmm, some interesting hands here especially the last one. I actually think villain should be betting hands like 87s and AK on river so we should have a value beater. Since our range in this spot is super weak. We rarely have better than one pair so I think all their two pairs can value bet. It's definitely grim since when they bet it feels like they usually have a set (I think straights and flush draws almost always bet turn), but we are too high up in our range assuming villain has at least some bluffs which is reasonable to assume.

Is this NL50!? I pray for Mark's sake it's not NL50 on Stars. Man should be playing NL10 while he learns the fundamentals. GL!

With the SBs linear range and the CO likely call/fold call/call weak range does an AQo shove not make the most sense and make the most money? Especially for a player who is perhaps liable to make mistake post flop. (Edit) should've waited for the end of the clip.. 😂

I was watching 5 secret of poker. You didn't show losing players hand. Also please reminder to explain your high terminology as like polarized etc. You talk on high level. It's like being in a philosophy class. I'm not a beginner. I'm good player but at times hard too follow you. Also what hud do you use. ? Thank you 😊

Question about the first hand : is 66 a standard call on DB versus CO's 4bet? Seems way to loose.

If a Reg is macho-ing you and you need to out-macho him and you just want to whip it out, put him on ace-king, and put a man to a decision for all his chips, then make sure your hand in that spot is not exactly ace-queen.

42:45 I can never see a check call there.. so many two pair combos that will check behind and moslty anything that bets on the river there even tho villain checks turn still has you beat. actually its really close to bet/fold or just fold.. to me check/call here is ugly af. id rather just fold. really close between bet/fold or fold and id rather tend to bet/fold since you would block bet the nuts too, to induce his airs to bluff..but i dont see much calling there, its just ugly. balance bla bla yadayada ok bla but yes its really a spot to be balanced af with the nuts to protect your river bets. villain going to need big balls to raise your bet with sets or straights which will make it cheaper for you to get to the showdown since you can decide the size of the bet and together with the induced bluffs i truly think its max ev to bet fold here. check call is kinda to ugly . sorry edit: anyway its really a weird spot but i really think bet/fold is best there since some two pairs might call you, people who are likely to bluff are going to bluff into your nuts sometimes because you can induce you will get ofc called from a lot of straights since villain has so many 9x combos and some sets and flushes there but there are a bunch of weaker two pairs too plus some AK`s AQ´s AJ´s some maybe some crazy weak Ax`s because the think you bluff or they think you play KK QQ or something like that that way, and you might get value from thos hands too which would always check behind on this river to get a cheap showdown. so all that said i think check/call is even worse than to just fold lol. thank you for your content i really appreciate greetings.

Thanks for the explanation! I haven't gone through the carrot corner grades (yet!) and I've still got 3bb as a standard open. I do play in the lowest NLs I can find, so maybe that also influences it. These videos are great advertisement by the way!
