Two things that are very apparent that explains Isiah' s disdain for the goat: when his college coach the legendary Bobby Knight says that he's the best basketball player he's ever seen must of killed Isiah on the inside and for years when MJ became the king of his hometown team simply pushed Isiah over the edge, explains it all.

The guy that broke the freeze-out story, Peter Vecsey, admitted the story was BS, something fabricated by Isiah's agent at the time, behind Isiah's back. Anybody that watches that game just sees Jordan having rookie jitters. He had a terrible game on both sides of the court. Gervin lit him up.

The "freeze out" allegations are a joke. Jordan was a rookie (obviously still elite, but he had half a season under his belt) on a team with Dr. J, Bird, Moses, King, Isiah himself... The fact he wasn't the team's go-to guy shouldn't be some huge shock. He took 9 shots in total, which trailed the rest of the team, but not by some insane amount (reigning MVP Bird took 16, former MVPs Erving and Moses had 15 and 10). Like, he's really complaining about getting a few less looks than MVPs and NBA first-teamers? And of course, there's the fact he sank a whole 2 of those 9. Wow, I'm SO stunned they didn't keep feeding him the ball when Bird, Dr. J, and Isiah were options...

Isiah didn't make it because he wasn't good enough in 1992. He wasn't an All-Star and he wasn't making All-NBA teams anymore. Bird and Magic were legacy picks. Laettner was the one college kid. The other nine guys were either first or second team All-NBA that year. They basically picked chalk. In fact if anyone should be upset about not being on the Dream Team it should be Mitch Richmond. He was the only guy that made first or second team ALL-NBA that season and didn't play in the Olympics.

Jordan has the upper hand vs everyone from his era besides Bird and Thomas. MJ was young when he played Bird and knows Bird won’t deal with any of his bs. But with Thomas he went 1-3 vs the Pistons in the playoffs. No matter what this cannot be changed and this is why MJ still brought this up in The Last Dance. Bottom Line, both MJ and Thomas are two of the biggest A-Holes in NBA history but MJ is more popular and controls the narrative in the media.

6 rings including sweeping Isiah. Isiah never swept Jordan in a play-off series. Those are facts too. Bird did beat Jordan. Of course having DJ, Parrish and McHale were a part of the reason why. But what happened when Jordan played with above average team mates when the US Olympic team played essentially an NBA all-star team with Bird who was the NBA's reigning MVP? 8 games played. 8 wins. For a competitor like Bird I'm sure he didn't forget that. Context is key.

It further lets me know that you know very little about basketball these kind of comments continuously about Isiah furthest says how much you guys dislike Isiah. I have never heard Isaiah Thomas say one thing negative about Michael Jordan‘s basketball career. Only the comments that Michael Jordan has made about him personally. When it comes to basketball, no one with their right mind could say that Michael Jordan was not one of the greatest, if not the greatest basketball player. But there are other great basketball players out there and Isiah Thomas just happens to be one of those greats whether you like it or not.
