Sonny is very lucky That he still has the connection with his old band. Not many have this privilege. The fact that 11 years later you can still perform vocals with your old band - nostalgia meter is maxed out. I wish my old band got together like this :/

​@@k-isfor-kristinaThe band probably doesn't pull audiences as big as Sonny's, but I doubt their shows are empty. The post-hardcore genre/scene is still alive and well today, even if it isn't as mainstream as it was in the 2000s

Proud of him for this. What's even better is that he's much healthier and happier now than he was when he was originally in the band, and I hope it stays that way.

One of the reasons they stopped was because of the stress on his voice. Touring and singing like that wasn't really sustainable. He sounds great when he's not doing it 3+ times a week and I'm so glad they did this recently

Sonny honestly sounds amazing. Reminder that he has had damage to his vocal chords, a history of smoking, multiple surgeries and still manages to be able to sing this well live. Love this dude so much. Wish I had been here.

This made me legitimately emotional. I have now realized that I don't even hate Skrillex for his music. I hated him because I missed Sonny so much, and I was angry that he ever started the Skrillex project in the first place. He originally wrote and sung these songs when he was 16 or so, and after all these years he can still hit 95% of the notes. Even after multiple vocal surguries and thrashing his voice on heroine + tour. Gg

This is a point I think a lot of people miss. Being 16 and in one of the biggest bands in the scene at that time he never really got the chance to grow up. And I dont think he really wanted to leave fftl. Most people dont realize just how much he destroyed his voice. I mean, they basically toured for four years non-stop. That'll mess anyone's voice up.

PS, I love all hardcore music, this scenecore included.

I remember seeing FFTL something like 12 years ago. It was at Rex Plex Elizabeth, NJ for the WSOU Not So Silent Night concert. What a great show it was. FFTL was on point that day. 30 now but 18 forever at heart.

I'm teared up watching this it's like telling how I have grown from a little emo kid to the person who I am today. I cant believe my taste of music has been eveloved and I don't even know if I can listen to any new rock band anymore but definitely still listening to the one I heard in my school days and I'm 30 years old now. The crazy part I'm not even grew up in US and this band was so big in my country (Indonesia).
