Very nice to see CCP maintaining the current role for the exploration frigates. With gas mining also being available for barges and exhumers this will maintain the unique role for these ships.

Only a few things still bug me about the update. The hyper homogeneous barges, I thought they were too similar before, make them very different from each other. Covetor or is the yield barge, Proc is the Uber tank, retriever is the Costco orca. Also what happened to getting the third mining laser back? The proc in particular is a mess, fleet defense should be the job of a combat ship, not a mining ship.... The orca: glad it’s buffed back up to current levels but now it’s stuck in place when local spikes and it burns resources to keep its current yield.. sorry but if you’re going to do that it needs to be a net gain. Or significantly buff it’s tank when that is active. Omni tanking the barges is fine if you give Omni bonuses to the command ships for reps. Super happy they gave the venture back its gas bonuses. Supper happy they reworked the waste mechanic.

I was dismayed at first but these changes are a pretty good stride in the right direction... minus a few of the ship changes. Sorry for the CSM, who advised CCP to not call this the end of scarcity 9:15 The T2 also gives MF strenght, Ice harvesting bonus and stuff. Good modification I reckon. But T2 will be the best by a mile 9:39 Decent compromise I reckon. Now the complaints should be subdued 10:32 The frigate changes being reversed is something I feel Neutral about, even if some were inane 10:37 Go CSM! 11:33 Half mass, more midslots... 13:07 Beefy cables right there 15:27 This guy got big and exchanged mids for lows. Hmmm 16:33 And it's tank is mostly untouched 17:43 I agree 19:23 More than that 22:43 T2 looks great. T1 also, maybe. To be honest they've been completely silent about upcoming changes for so long, publishing changes the day they announce them etc, if they didn't intend to listen they wouldn't have put out the blog and let us test ahead of time, they're willing to listen by virtue of us knowing about the changes before they went live!

I think splitting the holds is a stupid idea. Nobody is going to mine gas, fill the gas hold and then mine ore. They would empty that out first so they do t lose it.

Yeah it's not like the different resource types appear in the same sites.

Rorq's used to give off grid boosts. Basically a portable mining station for boosting. This is pre-excavator drones.

I definitely don't like the changes to the Procurer and Skiff. The Makinaw is even almost the same base EHP than the Skiff now... I want to see Singularity updated with the lastest changes so that I can evaluate with actual fits I've commented plenty on the forum already, and many people are asking questions as well. Hopefully they come back to their sense.

Having very little knowledge of mining, I can't say anything about the changes related to that. However, the reverting of the changes to the Expedition Frigates (which includes the Endurance) has completely killed what was once a very interesting idea for a covops hunting Endurance. Like seriously, when the original changes to it were announced, my corp did some calculations and found it to be comparable or slightly better than the Astero, as it had a far better tank in EHP terms (20k as opposed to 5k) and more drone damage. It's main weakness being only able to field 10 light drones. That was going to be a very interesting shift in the cloaky frigate PvP meta, what to expect when you see an endurance, and larger ships having to be careful around them because they could potentially sig tank you. And then CCP completely killed it. "All proposed changes to the Venture, Expedition Frigates, and Porpoise are being reverted with one exception: they will still be getting the additional Gas/Ice bays as relevant" :(

hahaha you still can use them offensively, my corp mates love it when things try and gank them when they are ice mining in their endurences. of course the targets they want are things like asteros or other frigates, once the cruisers start hopping on grid shit gets dicey.

I’m waiting and watching. I hope they actually listen to the additional feedback. There is a lot of good that could come out of this though.

I really don't understand the logic behind making the Procurer a shield-tanked ship and then giving it only 2 mid slots, especially given that one of them is all but guaranteed to be occupied with a prop mod. I guess they want people to use its rigs to provide ehp?

when you are talking your way thru the info on the page please stop flipping (random scrolling) the page up and down because some of your viewers like to follow along with the text and what you are saying and when you keep jumping the page around it makes this way to difficult and frustrating to the point we will stop the video and watch the overview somewhere else. thanks anyway for the attempt.

Ccp could shit in some people's cereal and they'd still talk about how awesome it was of ccp to share with them.

I don't get why using T2 would increase waste; would think they would be better-refinned and less wasteful. It's kinda punishing oldbros instead of newbros. lame

No mining rigs?

I want to know what ccp is going to do with the old bpo of the crystals do I need to turn them in and get paid. Are they just going to be useless. Will they just change over to the new ones.

I believe they covered this in talking in stations. They should be auto converted to the tier equivalents for the new crystals.

The procurer is my preferred barge anywhere I mine an it needs 3 mids for a bit of extra tank. Let the gankers decide how best to kill such a tanky miner.

If they're still planning to ruin the ORCA, I don't care. I am sick of spending time and money skilling into ship after ship and playstyle after playstyle only to have them nerf it into the ground. Who else feels the same?

I agree. I hope that now I can get back to doing what I enjoy in-game but having to do a lot of adapting to changes and wait-and-see, has been more work than fun as of late.

Orcas will have the same mining yield if you use the new T2 industrial core. You are less mobile but you will also be more tanky than before.

Ruins a harshhhh term, things have to change otherwise things would go stagnate, if you have Cruiser V on all the races which is a practical train for many players you addapt to the meta, one year its arty next year its missles. Change is good. As for ruining the Orca @EVEnton addressed how you do become more tanky but sacrifice mobility, a good thing for High secers for anti gank, as for low and Null and WH ... thats good ! mining in these regions should be dangerous!

Double resource on a 1 cycle rock and add weste still a 1 cycle rock with less received still crap they need to make rocks bigger and give real reason to progress.

Its a chance that you have waste, not guaranteed. Unless you use T1 strip miners, then there is no waste. If you want more ore faster, then there will be waste occasionally.

Communication failure between CSM, CCP and players. Age of prosperity and nerfing the core mechanism and compression seems hypocritical.

I'm so stupid, this summer I reactivated my two accounts and I'm still paying for omega but I don't even play. I just don't see how the game could be fun. It has all these broken mechanics where you basically have to grind to die. What I mean is you can't find a corner in this game where you could do something without immediately being killed by old players. You just can't. And so you go do anything with the expectation to eventually die and probably lose all the progress. Ofc you can choose not to expose yourself and station spin but what's the point of that. I think I just need to delete my 34m sp toon and my 20m sp toon and be done with this game.

Hey, can I have all your stuff? Seriously, though, Eve might just not be the right game for you. The game is always going to push player interaction, and that's going to mean losing assets sometimes. Have you tried joining a null sec corp where maybe they'll appreciate what you have to offer and provide protection for you?

Im trying to figure out how you come to this conclusion. Unless all your sp are invested in nothing but mining and production and nothing into any other skills in the game. There is a ton of content that doesn't put you in a direct line of fire that makes good isk. Will you occasionally get ganked? Yeah. But for every ship Ive ever lost Ive made a profit with it before its inevitable death. Ships are like gear sets in most mmos. Eventually you'll outgrow it and need new anyways.

@@dougmac3046 No I will delete what I have. And yeah it will be totally out of spite because I hate how I got dupped by nostalgic memories and how it used to be and how it's being ruined by an incompetent company.

They are working ore waste the wrong way the higher tier gear should waste less then the lower tier otherwise you are making high gear worthless. No sense in using less efficient but more expensive gear.
