From Dust to Ducati - The Monster 900 that slept for a decade
Wow, what a journey this is going to be! 🏍️ I've just been handed the reins to a Ducati Monster M900 that's been nestled in a garage untouched for a decade. It's time to breathe new life into this beautiful beast, to restore its roar and polish its charm. From dust to Ducati, follow me on this restoration ride.
A lady called Leanne contacted me and said her partner Andy had a Ducati Monster that he purchased just over a decade ago and would I be interested in resurrecting it. To be fair, I said "No" and went on with my life. I offered to buy the Monster instead and Andy said "No" Haha!
A few weeks went by and the thought of a Monster just languishing in a shed started to bother me, so I went to meet it.
This is video 1 in a series showing the restoration from Dust to Ducati.

I have one in my garage, from 2015 is there.. miss the sound of my monster…
What year is it? It looks like my '94 monster 900.
Don't think it's a monster dark. The monster Dark's were the cheaper option this is base model instead - so a bit better! All the dark's were matt black with a black frame too. God damn I miss my 1997 M900S... (apart from the running costs that is!)
it vill be nice ya
Quite the find!
What a sexy bike, looking forward to it's resurrection!
Brilliant video Alex, looking forward to seeing the next one
Definitely a 20 foot bike . Just shows that putting a bike away requires the right environment
Some Alex love, with a can of Bulldog and a jar of strawberry jam and she'll be a goer.
The valve is a carb warmer, they suffered with carb icing a bit on cold winters days, so, you could flip the valve, and it would pump warm oil around the carbs IIRC.
Throw a couple of cans of BDX at it and it'll be right🏍🏍
