FROM DAMAGED TO HEALTHY | HOW AYURVEDA GREW MY NATURAL HAIR | 6 INCHES IN 5 MONTHS!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

OH. MY. GOSH. In the 5 months since I began using homemade Ayurvedic recipes for my Type 4 Natural hair, it is now healthier than it's EVER been and has also been G-R-O-W-I-N-G like CRAZY!!! Last summer, it was heat damaged, dry and I couldn't keep it moisturised for longer than one day.
It grew TWO INCHES in the first month and it's been growing ONE INCH every month since. It's maaaadnessssss I tell ya!!! NEVER, EVER thought my hair could be so HEALTHY in such a short space of time. Breakage, dry scalp and thinning edges have GONE. I would also HIGHLY recommend a very good water based Leave-In conditioner too :)

Backdrop...I decided to create some homemade Ayurvedic recipes for my hair because it was breaking after 4 years of using the same products that weren't working - and for my daughter because even though the products she was using were good, I knew there was better out there... Not knowing it was in my own kitchen! The ingredients in this oil are outstanding and all shine in their own right as well as together. Watch how to grow your hair longer, thicker and most importantly, healthier.

    I remember watching this video 4 years ago and I was using Curly Proverbs beasts mode hair growth oil along with henna glosses and ayurvadic hair mask. Sis my hair is now at waist length and when I started my hair was at shoulder length. I keep my hair in protective styles for 2 months at a time. I just moisturize and oil my scalp. My hair likes to be left alone and it grows like crazy using ayurvadic herbs. I'll soon be at tailbone length by 9/2023

    This hair oil is really similar to the curly proverbs one! She has been using Ayurvedic ingredients for years and she can testify to the results as well. And the SHea hibiscus moisturiser I’ve seen something similar on fusion of cultures channel but it’s a deep conditioner! You are all saying the same thing. I have made my own and I can’t wait to use it. I know the results will differ between people but I’m optimistic.

    RERE MELZ half an inch-an inch is the average growth rate per month actually. So that sounds perfectly normal for ur hair to grow that much. It isn’t outside the average growth rate. I’m looking for thickness and health from Ayurveda coz I left my single braids in for too long last time and it basically ripped my hair out.

    Hi!! Thanks for sharing this video!! I was wondering if there is any difference between the Ayurvedic oil and the Ayurvedic tea rinse. Because I find the smell of the oil very unpleasant (and people around me have noticed it as well) despite using tons of essential oils to perfume it. I think that smell comes from the process of "cooking" the herbs in the oil (I followed your amazing tutorial 😉). So I was thinking of replacing the oil with the Ayurvedic tea and sealing the hydration with a mixture of "normal" oils (castor, olive, coconut and so on..). Will that make any difference in terms of efficacy on the hair? I noticed my hair are incredibly longer and stronger after one month usage of the Ayurvedic infused oil prepared after your recipe🙏🏾! Thanks!!

  • @naturalbarnet2470

    Hi! So sorry to hear that the scent did not agree with you! I haven't heard this before, but to each their own. 100% respect that. I personally love the smell. Perhaps the herbs you use have a stronger scent or the heat was on too high? You can maybe smell which herb you least like the scent of and remove that the next time? Nevertheless, the Tea is moreso a hydrant, so it will hydrate your hair with moisture, whereas the Oil will seal in moisture and nourish your scalp. Absolutely, you can go ahead and use the other carrier oils you mentioned to seal! It won't have the added nourishment that the herbs provide, but the recipe is very adaptable so you can tailor it exactly to your liking :) I'm SO glad to hear your hair is longer and stronger! Ayurveda is AMAZING! Please come back with an update!! :)

    Hi, the hair oil is BRILLIANT!!!!! I loooove it! I actually followowed the recepy and make it myself. I've been using it for six weeks and my hair has grown about an inch i would say yes! But one question, it gives me so much dandruff, is that normal? One of my daughters has the same thing. And her hair has not really grown, but it has gotten super thick. Can you advise me?

  • @naturalbarnet2470

    @naturalbarnet2470

    So glad you're enjoying the hair oil!!! Sorry to hear about your dandruff, that isn't normal. It's interesting as it contains ingredients that have antifungal properties. It sounds like there is an ingredient what may not agree with you - or you may have to switch your shampoo. Try swapping your shampoo for another one. In the meantime, reduce the amount of times you use your oil as too much oil can attract dirt - making it more dandruff prone. Another suggestion would be to swap an essential oil for lemongrass oil. Back to the ingredients, do you have any idea what it may be? A lot of suggestions for you, but if all else fails, I'd advise stop using it for a period and consult your Dr. Hope that helps x

    NaturalBarnet Thanks for your reply. I have used a bit more castor oil instead if coconut oil the last time because i found that the coconut oil made my daughters hair a bit brittle. Not her scalp just her hair, and the castor oil makes it softer. I dont use lavender oil but tea tree oil as the lavender gives me a headache. Maybe i just need to follow the recipe and stop being clever, lol. And also, how much oil should i put on my scalp? Maybe im overdoing it as well.

  • @naturalbarnet2470

    @naturalbarnet2470

    T La Hey! My recipe is just a foundation, it's for you to twist and tweak as much as you want! Saying that, I'd recommend omitting the Coconut Oil entirely and just just Olive Oil (Extra Virgin if you can). Use it 1-2 times a week with a few days in between. Tea Tree Oil is fantastic as it works very similarly to Lavender & Rosemary being anti flammatory 👍🏾 Good luck!

    Hi! I use the Tea twice a week and always follow it with a Leave-In Conditioner and the Smoothie. I don't use the Oil on my scalp on the same days, I alternate it. I'll be doing a wash day video soon to clarify everything, but I hope that answers your qstn!

    Purchasing all the ingredients yourself will set you back at least $300/400. So, for the convenience and ease of time, it is validated. However, this is why I provide the recipe also because it's not about the money; enjoy and I hope it truly serves you well just as it continues to serve me!

But I would be so grateful if you could break down the steps you do with regards to your regime so from when you wash the hair to when you're ready to wash again please. Also what leave in conditioner do you use? Look forward to seeing your wash day video. Sorry for all the questions but I just want to make sure I'm clear. It's good to sub a fellow sis from the UK.

    It seems to be the KZread American way. Instead of thanking a person for the valuable time they took out of their busy schedule to pass along helpful information, critique the delivery of the information. But before you offer criticism first, make sure your criticism is correct. Americans believe their way is the only right way. Most of us appreciate you sharing your regime.
