I had that lady at 6:36 as my cabin supervisor during my flight from LHR to KUL (MH1) back in January and she was lovely to both me and my girlfriend! We were also in business and she was very attentive to our meal requests and entertained a very chatty passenger so patiently. Later when I told her that I’ve been away from Malaysia for years, she warmly said to me, “Thank you for choosing to fly with us and welcome back home!” Because of her and her colleagues, I chose to write a positive review of their service to which she and her colleague gave me and my gf the entire galley’s worth of Malaysia Airlines salted peanuts and teh tarik sachets to bring home hahahahaha. She definitely made my homecoming memorable and I’m so glad to see she still does an equally amazing job!

Actually prefer Josh's videos. The main problem with 'Nonstop Dan' , is the food-reviews! He eats Vegetarian; so he never really show-cases the airline's normal gastronomy offerings.

Thats why I love to fly with MH. They might not have the best hardware but the crew is always - for me really always - perfect performing, lovely, funny chit chating. I love it - no matter if in Business or Eco.

Forty years ago MAS were one of the very best airlines in the world, alongside Cathay Pacific and Singapore. Their decline saddened me. Good to see them back in the game.

We flew Malaysia Airlines 4 times last month from Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur and Bali to and fro. I have nothing but praise for the whole flight experience for our travels. The crew served us well and were very attentive to the demands of the passengers as well as ensured everyone had a proper flight experience in terms of meals, drinks as well as entertainment. Would really recommend the airlines and also prefer it for the south asia travelling in the future.

That was very kind of you for pointing out to the cabin manager that you were very happy with there service, as you say they have to deal with alot of nonsense but to get great feedback in any job is wonderful. Good foryou Josh.

I flew Malaysia Airlines to Langkawi last year. The crew are second to none, so genuinely hospitable, warm and friendly. Love them!

You know the secret? Majority of the crew are local hire. When they put on their uniform it is like representing your country for football. So their warmth can be felt.

@@vincentchin88 Sad to say I flew four sectors this month. Three out of four were late, up to nearly two hours, the male cabin crew had members who were arrogant and rude to passengers. The food was awful. Why do I use them? Only because their routes and timing are convenient, nothing else and this may have been my last.

@@vincentchin88 Flying can be a varied experience. The passenger seated next to me also uses MH a lot and has had few problems, but he was also very unhappy with the flight we had together. I think the problem is not with the Malaysian staff (except for some of the arrogant male cabin staff), but more with the MH management. Maybe a new COO is needed, as just boasting about cabin service in the inflight magazine does not address the other operational issues the airline suffers from.

Its always nice when you get praise at work. People are quick to criticise but not so quick to give deserved praised

Flew MH from Penang to KL recently. Its barely a 40 minute flight, and yet, they served Drinks & Snacks, everything was efficient, on time, the crew were fantastic & kind. So much so, i'm booking my next Long Haul on MH.

I think customers play a part in the crew's mood as well. I just witnessed last week a middle-aged Malaysian Chinese businessman (Karen) guy in a suit grilling a cabin crew in Business Class (Malaysia Airlines domestic flight) just because he was doing his job collecting headphones back as we were about to land. Not only did he argue back (and didn't return the headphones), he even held back the line from disembarking the plane just to make a whole scene by verbally abusing him and mocking how he spoke (to my eyes, he was being racist as the cabin crew was of a different race) as he was the first person in line. The poor crew couldn't even smile after that.

Flown MH many times and, honestly, my experience of the cabin crew is exceptional too.

Funny how you, Sir Josh, along with Nonstop Dan featured Malaysia Airlines in so short a time span! Yet here is MH trying to pick up the pieces after experiencing such rough skies--and nice to know that Malaysia's flag carrier has worked so hard to rebuild its trust and is now flying smoothly and steadily into a brighter future. Plus, the renowned Malaysian hospitality and caring service will make MH be highly esteemed. Brings me flashback when I flew Malaysia Airlines in the '90s when it was among the benchmark carriers for quality service, prestige and a commitment to deliver the best--of which it is doing now. Hey Josh I'm happy to see that Malaysian airlines has improved over time. Plus Malaysia is now for having great hospitality and it's nice to see the crew showed that.

Malaysia airlines cabin crew are the back bone of the company. They shud be rewarded always.

The MH crew has always been a pleasant bunch, and their sincerity really shows.

I grew up in Malaysia in the 90’s and used to love flying with them, then we flew with them a few months after the missing plane 10 years ago and the plane was empty and we felt so sad for the crew. Haven’t flown recently with them, but I’m glad to see they’re still going strong.

Some of the friendliest and most helpful people I've ever met and worked with have been from Malaysia.

I flew the MH 737 in a 2 hour flight just last week and I was actually BLOWN AWAY. Good things are happening. Took the Book the Chef option (beef). Crew was so attentive. I did not expect it. Very happy.

Flew MH recently from KL to Kuala Terengganu and return on the 737. Paid for the XL seats in economy right behind business class. Well worth it, super comfy short flight 😊

I've flown Malaysian dozens of times and graded them a straight C, nothing noteworthy or bad. But this looks like they are moving up, which I love. Good for them !!.

Josh you are so correct how a crew member can make or break your flying experience, especially in first class! My last flight from Mexico to JFK was with Delta in first class, a seat I paid full price for. The head stew for the front cabin was the nastiest, unprofessional, short tempered representative for this airline I have ever encountered. The rude scale was off the charts, but the last straw to ruin a usual lovely flight was having a snack basket shoved under my nose without a word or smile before our descent into the airport. My chin literally slid off a bag of chips as the basket was abruptly pulled away. Omg, there were no words! I usually give the front cabin crew starbucks gift cards, but after this flight, they went home with me.

Great review, Josh... it's nice that you had a good experience with my national airline this time! Reminds me of the time I travelled on this exact same flight in late June last year although they hadn't had the refurbished cabins back then. Also, you probably know this, but I wanted to mention that the morning flight (1st out of the 3 that ply on KUL-DPS daily) is in an A330 that has fully lie flat business class seats in a wide body configuration 😉

Hi Josh! after few years, today i flown MA domestic on their latest 737 Max. A super great aircraft with quite engine. The crew is wonderful as always since the last time i fly with them. I always believe when the crew performing well, your flight will be enjoyable regardless the class you in.

Been flying with MH a lot last one being last year for a 45 minutes flight and it remained the same, they were exceptional, snacks and beverages were given with an amazing crew service every time I flew with them

I’ve always loved MH both long-haul and SEA regional…I wouldn’t hesitate to fly them again…and I like the KUL lounges in both the regional and long-haul terminal…actually also a cool terminal hotel in the international facility (though not affiliated with MH, it’s nothing flashy but does the job and I could be the ultimate AvGeek and stare directly into the cockpits and watch them prepare for the flight (yes, a bit creepy, but that’s the view from the window!)

I flew once the same FLIGHT, and the crew was amazing, great job MALAYSIA AIRLINES and greetings from MEXICO.

flew with them in 2018 on their 737 and in 2019 on their a330 both times on DPS to KUL in eco, both times in exit row. the 737 was ok ish, but that was more due to many passengers incapable of following simple safety instructions. and on the a330 flight it was lovely as i got to sit in the 1st row in eco and the plane wasn't too ful so i got to chat quite a bit with the purser during extended turbulences who was super friendly. i work myself in aviation and as a teenager i lived 6 years in malaysia so MH and malaysia as a whole are always special to me. i would choose malaysian again without hesitation. would love to see them fly more to europe again in the future. but nice to see things are looking up for MH.

I am a cabin crew and I appreciate when a passenger acknowledges my hard work and not just take whatever I do for granted. Imagine having to deal with demanding passengers who basically ring for you and just say “Coke”, imagine when it’s not just 1 you have to deal with. We are only human and we can get exhausted. I try my best all the time and sadly sometimes i have to deal with unpleasant, entitled people who treat us as mere waiters. Please treat us and your fellow passengers with respect; we try to clean the toilets as often as possible but don’t be that guy who pees on the floor, not flush, stuff your trash in any hole you can find except the trash can. Sometimes you wonder why we treat “certain passengers” of “certain ethnicities” “better”, but if you take a look in the mirror, you will realise why we do; they treat us with respect and thank us for our service. A little thank you and please goes a long way.

Wow that's horrible. What countrys you fly or which airline? I fly a lot between Europe and Asia also with cheap airlines and I never saw a bad behaviour from passengers or crew. Even wizzair or Ryanair 😂

@@patrick1992 We work very hard, some things you can do as passengers to make the word a better place: 1. Asking for everything you want/need all at once 2. Coming to the galley for whatever you need especially when you’re sitting on the aisle and have easy access to the walkway. 3. Keeping the toilets clean and tidy for other passengers and yourself. And that includes puking into the TOILETS NOT THE SINK 🤦🏻‍♀️ 4. Controlling your children 5. Listening to instructions and keeping to it especially when regarding your safety. I’ve had passengers challenging me over stuff like not having their bags under the seat because it’s “expensive” or they have “valuables” or “it’s small it won’t hinder anything”. These things that we place emphasis on are because of the law. When we do our safety checks and you comply then go back to doing the same thing and our purser comes down and sees you doing it, he’s gonna tell you the same thing and think that we didn’t do our job. Please don’t be an ass and sabotage us like that when we work so hard. 6. Not throwing crumbs all over the floor because we HAVE TO PICK UP AFTER YOU; Idgi why do you wanna make your seat area dirty when you’ll be sitting in it for the next few hours? 7. Not holding up the line by blocking the aisle when boarding 8. Telling us that you’ve moved seats when you have a special meal booked 9. Pre-ordering a special meal when you have dietary restrictions 10. Not throwing a fit because we don’t have something that caters to your dietary restrictions when IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, we are not on ground and have a limited supply of stuff on board 11. Listening and paying attention to the safety demonstration and video 12. Not going to the bathroom WHEN WE ARE DOING MEAL SERVICE 13. Having us take your dirty tray when we are serving food and not completed yet 14. Walking around when we are boarding So many more but please have situational awareness and make flying pleasant for everyone thank you. If it makes us upset then you won’t have that much of a pleasurable flight either.

one thing i have learned from this guys video is how much he loves winking. AND I AM NOT COMPLAINING. I BLUSH ACTUALLY.

This only shows how much important is the crew serviceability on the whole experience!!!

The one you're riding at is a domestic configuration of the Malaysia Airlines' 737. The international configuration of their 737 has the IFE on the seats, as Simply Aviation had shown.

This reviews really helps a lot for us future passengers.

They (MAS) used Paper Cups and Plastic Utensil for Business Class. Saw that. 😅

I want to press that cocktail button & see if they’ll bring me a ‘QF’ (sorry, an old drinking reference… you’re too young, Josh!). Great to learn that Malaysia has put much of the sadness of their terrible year behind them, & is providing excellent flights.

Hey Josh, it’s worth mentioning regarding Fast Track Immigration, that it’s available to all pax booked in premium cabins, regardless of the carrier. Flew of KL to BKK with TG just a few days ago.

Wieder ein sehr schönes Video!!

It´s good to see MH focuses on what they do best: "soft product". I´ve had similar experiences with them albeit in Economy Class. Unfortunately they were forced to withdraw from Europe (except for London, UK) due to severe financial troubles a couple of years ago ... So, I have to choose other carriers between Europe and Asia for the time being as MH does not really market their London flights beyond the British market and having two stops towards destinations beyond KUL makes little sense. I do hope they´ll return to FRA or AMS eventually and they would get my business again.
