Wow. This really opened my eyes to what is going on right now in our world. This perspective-shifting talk was a light-bulb moment as to why the majority would rather argue for their ignorance than lift the veil of illusion...and greatly added compassion as to why they do - or don't do- what they do. @@EntrepreneursRocketFuel It's a journey that sometimes has bumps in the road and many twists and turns, all from which we grow stronger and wiser. The destination is unclear until we arrive at the end, but Oh what a ride along the way. Every person needs to stop looking for the fairy tales and enjoy the real scenery along the way...and not forget to chase a butterfly and smell the roses along the way. Thorns hurt, but they're seldom fatal.

This just reminds me of something my mother used to say when my friends fought, 'there's always three sides to a story, what you think happened, what they think happened, and the truth.' I always thought it was just a cliché but listening to this talk made me think about how oblivious we can be to the reality of a situation, especially when we intentionally have those blinders on!

I have finally watched this TEDx speech. It is fantastic. A great message and a great presentation. My only question is why, why in the world, after a year on KZread does it have less than 2 thousand views and barely 75 comments? (What really stood about this presentation is the follow-up, in that Kimberly, replied to each and every comment.) She made a connection with each and every person that watched and responded to her speech. She went a step further than many other TEDx speakers and made a more direct connection with her audience.
