The story I heard was Ren was ending his day on the street busking and he walked over to Sam singing without any equipment. So he invited him to use his equipment and placed a bet that he would attract a lot of attention with the microphone and speakers. And the rest is that Sam and Ren was busking before he Ren played with his band.

Yas, I believe he offered Sam his guitar and mic but at that point Sam couldn't play so Ren accompanied him.

The green wheelbarrow leaning against the church is how they transport their gear. You would also probably really enjoy their collaboration on a studio performance of an original song Blind Eyed.

There are tons of versions, but the official video, the M.C. Sessions, and Angry Car Park attendant are my favourites. Worth doing a long reaction by watching all three. They are all so different. And then there are 'What went wrong Parts 1 and 2'.

They met when Ren had finished busking for the day and was on his way home and seen Sam singing so he offered Sam his microphone and amp so more people could here him and Ren played the guitar. And Sam could keep all the money. Sam was 16 and Ren was 23 at the time. There a video of that day on Sam’s channel, you see Ren sitting in a doorway playing while Sam is singing

The mic he's using is the old school SM-58. I used to have one. He also shows it in a video called Ren's prized possessions.

Ren just dropped a new song TODAY. It's an acoustic mash up of Fred Again tracks. It's amazing.

🦋 Well, thank you for the links. I went and checked both of them out more thoroughly love them. So an interesting interview with Ren on the Zach Sang Show. He talked about his journey of being misdiagnosed for so many years, and being so chronically sick and then one day finally went to an infectious disease doctor, and he discovered that he had lymes disease. Him speaking out at his age of I think maybe 26 or something is a voice for so many people. And it’s a personal journey for me with my child about something like that. I feel that you understand this, but I just wanted to reiterate how far reaching things can be sometimes, so thank you for that.

I love the live collaboration they did, just awesome.

One of my favorite things about these guys is the green wheelbarrow they use to get their gear to the street

You can't see it in this clip but they used to carry their equipment in a beat up old wheelbarrow. It took quite a while before they got to the 3 mikes and amps set up of the Big Push .

I've heard them called a bunch of things, also, isn't the mic with the black windscreen the SV-200 series, cause you can pick them up new for under $100 all day long, I thought the other (better) mic was an SM-58, they're closer to $200 range, but I haven't played music, for an audience, for a very long time, so I might be wrong. ✌💚

Sorry to pop back in, while I was writing the above, Ren dropped a new song, like brand brand new, acoustic performance piece, just him, It's a mash up of some Fred-again songs. Holy jumpin' jeepers, this is the one! Never thought I'd say something is next level for Ren cause he's that good, but the guitar playing alone melted my mind, it's so good that I don't think someone that's never played an instrument can really wrap their head around the expert level picking and strumming he's pulling off flawlessly. I know you like to space your Ren reactions out, but you should really check this one out as soon as you have a Ren slot open, I give you my word, you will be truly blown away and deeply moved.
