None of that matters though, what matters is that we become 1% better each day and that we stay on our purpose. As I look around in the world many men drift like Napoleon Hill suggests, they drift away from their goals, dreams, and God given purpose. aye man love the message, this type of stuff is good for young men everywhere but i would just say while i do agree with not being satisfied of who we are right now. It is also important that we take some time to reflect on how far you have come and be at peace with who you are at this moment. Life is short we may never see our “future”, God forbid so i feel it’s important to give yourself your flowers while you’re here. Be your best supporter and critic

23 years old (currently) when I realized I needed to be a man. Jumping job to job since 18. Living check to check at my parents house where I wasn’t charged rent so no real pressure on me. Driving the car my parents gave me, then when the insurance ran out I just drove my girls car. Then Living at my girls house for half a year. I one day looked at myself in the mirror & realized I was a loser. I got me a legit career job in sales and told myself ima get a car and my own place. That was 2 months ago. I just got my new car. Apartment is next.

Yea yea, the problem is he meant that philosophy-wise, he wasn't talking to an international audience of financially disenfranchised young men in one of the most fatherless generations ever who lost THE most formative years of their lives to a worldwide pandemic, in the middle of the stupidest social studies research experiment ever called social media which has caused culture to flip sideways globally in most developed countries, during a mental health crysis that's only getting worse, while also no one's having sex which exacerbates a lot of the issues young men face at all facets. Listen, I ain't no doomer, not by a long shot. I'm a realist tilting towards optimist actually. But god damn you can't just ignore ALL that shit I said up there.

Men who understand the fact that every circumstance is different, and that at the end of the day, no matter your roots, race, or religion, a man makes himself, and a man is only as good as his word and manners. How he treats others is simply a reflection of the man.

Now I found my self at my lowest drained in regrets. I’m turning 22 in 4 months and i am at my lowest point financially mentally physically…let alone be where I want to be. It hurts! Quitting smoking is a skill. It starts with extreme mindfulness and ends in acceptance and learning the amount of discomfort that an identity shift takes. Eventually you'll reach a point where you don't give a shit if you smoke or not because you do it once a year. And that's when the camel's back breaks because you just start saying no to those and boom. You never even noticed the crossing point where you stopped for good.

was right where you are at 20 and within a year I’ve 180d. Haven’t smoked in 6 months and it’s life changing. people gonna tell you the negatives of weed and try to make you run from it, but think about how much you could elevate without it. no brain fog, no straining anxiety, daily motivation, connection with your purpose. best way i know is to rip it like a bandaid. throw it all away. the pipe, the bong, the papers, the grinder. force yourself to say no every time it’s offered before you have a chance to think about it. and even more important, fill that time with things that help you grow: gym, hikes, books, 2nd job, school. or else it gets filled with things that drown you: alcohol, sex, social media. you got this brother keep going

wise words man, thank u. I'm 27 yrs old and yet I dont feel like a man even though I have a job where I am the leader of a big team, live by myself in a good rented house, but I gotta tell y'all, being a man is a lot more than just being able to support yourself. The most important part is being able to take accountability of the mistakes you make, and then grow from it, being able to be disciplined and a lot more. I know I'm not there yet and none of you need to put an act of being a man. That are A LOT of 30 + yrs old that doesnt feel like they are real men cause it is not just about materialistic things, everybody can get money. Im trying to work on myself to be able to mature within myself so I can help my parents and my brothers and I feel that this is a long jorney that isnt defined by age. btw I feel happy that you are only 22 and already feel like that, our community lacks so much of this, most of us grew without fathers cause they were'nt real men.

I gotta give props to my pops. I watched both him and my mother hustle hard even at home. I rarely remember them sitting down. At a young age I was able to put it together that something wasnt enjoyable about witnessing that. Unlike my siblings, I made up my mind that I was going to grind so that they no longer had to. As a child I was the first to jump up to do chores and the last to stop. They didn't even have to ask me. Now as a man I take care of me and mines so they don't have to. That disciplined minset is something I picked up as a boy. It wasn't as dramatic of a shift for me thank God.
4 months ago I lost my grandma. 3 months ago I lost my father. 2 months ago my daughter was born. I was so confident in anticipating my child and welcome her into the world knowing that I had a great family to support my journey of fatherhood. but then it all happened. I was hit with a reality check that nothing lasts forever. And that eventually I will have to bear it all.

I've started business from a very young age (16) I've had successful businesses that made thousands in profit every month, but I've also made some really stupid mistakes, poor investments etc. I've lost everything and then fought to make it back, again and again. But I've still kept fighting for a better future for myself and my family. I've poured every single last cent, blood and tears into my businesses... Sometimes i just ask myself how different would life be if I just worked a normal job and saved up. I've worked so hard and made so much sacrifices, yet have so little to show for. Older woman here and new sub- because I like to support channels like yours. My great grandmother, wisest woman I knew, warned me when I was 13 that some men never grow up. That confused me because the men around me, in my family, worked about as hard in the house as the women. I remember my big grandfather, played for the Steelers back in the leather helmet days, sweating over the vacuum on stairs, planting trees, doing dishes & laundry- right alongside my grandmother. My father was the same. Women in the family all worked or had their own businesses. It wasn't until I was in my 20's and started seeing these 'man boys' out in the world that I understood what she meant.

Love the video Preciate the real world talk
Totally recommend for anyone watching this to read "Iron John" by Robert Bly. Good resource for maturing into manhood. Thanks for the video, Malique.

Thank you bro.
Bless you brother I woke up needed this
True man I just turned 25 last month and I moved across the country from NYC to LA by myself on the same week it was my Birthday for my dream job. It’s been a hard transition because I left all my friends and family behind for the pursue of my dream career and future. I think long term I made the right decision but I miss my friends and is hard to build a new circle of friends and I hope I can build that here in Los Angeles, and I’m also single which makes it hard 😢.

Appreciate the video. Also I like the music choice this time. I think it’s definitely better to have calming relaxing emotional music on the types of videos that you do because it helps bring the message forward a little better. Compared to the intense music you used to have.❤

You’re doing great brother wow, don’t be too hard on yourself. Know that the greatest teacher of life is life it self. And what I would say to do is to reflect on the good/bad things that have happened in life and figure out a way to make new insights on what happened and what you can learn from those things. Do the same thing for the present moment. As you live life day by day there are hidden lessons and opportunities to grow wise. I believe in you brother. You got this.
