Life is an adventure and there is risk in any form of adventure. I don't understand why someone will lead the comment section by saying Nigeria is not yet safe. The world is not safe and you can only make it safer by exploring it. The man is simply promoting the tourism sector of his adopted country and so far he is doing a great job doing it. Way to go Ludo, this will definitely be a great experience for the family.🎉

Gurara Water Falls looks stunning! I admire the kids being able to climb up those rocks! Very beautiful wife, beautiful kids. The kids will remember this as a happy memory. I went on holiday with my late mum in the 1970s to West Germany. Amsterdam. We stayed in a village in West Germany with friends - and travelled as far as Amsterdam with our German hosts - Touring the forest, lakes etc - our host driving us everywhere around that entire region. I am so grateful I did that as a child - I will never forget it.

I do have some friends doing this milton thing. I have never done that. I don't want to soak my veg and fruit in the bleach... i don't feel it is good for my health. To try to answer your question, I never had any problem with street food. I don't eat uncooked veg or salad mostly, these may be risky, but when it is cooked it is okay. finally, I use de-worm medecine like my cat every six month :)

@Ludo, I salute you and especially your wife and family. One likes to travel inconspicuously, but that's not possible for you and your family in Nigeria, nevertheless you are unphased. That travel, jumping from one means of transport to another isn't easy. What the video can't show us is the heat, humidity, dust and smells. Thanks for the drone shots of the area. I will say this, the people of Niger state may not be rich, but they do dress well even in the "downbeat" Suleja market, the women looked good in their prints. When your wife spoke I realised she was Chinese - I guess she must be used to Nigeria now, because China looks like a modern state.

To tell the truth, from Abuja to this place, the road is in a very good shape. From city center to deidei you have a perfect 2 or 3 lanes. then from suleja it become only one lane but the quality is okay till Izom. After Izom till the waterfalls again a 2 lane almost perfect. I would say that, what's missing here, is firstly people visiting, tourist, from Nigeria, and also from abroad, this waterfalls is a gem. and it is really simple to go there from Abuja, it is a 1h30 minute trip on niice roads . The site has already an entrance, a house to serve beverage, and a walking way to go down. They planted trees to make the path look nice. I really feel only people to visit are missing here. no need more for now, the site is perfect , no need to spoil it with a lot of infrastructures

@behlumazali5952 The rock was found in the 15th century by the Zuba people of Niger State, who called it zumwa or zuma, which could translate to “a place of guinea fowls,” due to their abundance around the rock. The Zuba people settled around the rock and came to see it as a spiritual guide, making sacrifices to the rock to keep them safe from harm. Because the landmark offered a clear view of the surrounding landscape, it was also used as a defensive position from other invading tribes.

keep an eye on your youngest daughter, don't let her sit or walk far away from you/ your wife. you can let her walk around freely in abuja, but definitely not in suleja, because you might turn around and not find your daughter again.

I grew up near this fall and it was flowing more and was faster then. We swam in it. However, it's a shame that some foreigners come to Africa seeking the gods that most of us have left behind instead of appreciating the wonderful nature God has given us. Is this fair to God? The guard even said that our ancestors used to worship these gods, which means the ones now don't, yet the visitor keeps pounding on seeing the shrine and saying he likes culture. They're desperate for views even to the loss of their own souls.
