Petit is so adorable ❤ my cat actually has a similar story. He wasn't in poor condition or anything, he was just a stray who was abandoned by past owners :( after a while he started meowing at my door and he sorta just moved in 😂❤

What a cutie and lovebug 😻 i know the way from stray or feral to loving house cat, sometimes the way is short, most times long. But always very rewarding! My cats were all former stray cats, but my first cat ever was a hissy feral mom with 2 daughters. She changed to a loving house cat after i was able to rescue one of her kittens, it was too weak for small for a 4 weeks old kitten. Mom Maya decided to trust me after i won her friendship. The way home was funny, me with 2 kittens on my arms, Maya following me carefully. The healthy kitten started hissing and spitting, but calmed down as i started petting it between and behind its ears. At home i had to stop to grab my apartment key, she looked at me and hissed quiet like "did i allow you to stop?" She was tame after this and calm. The weak kitten was saved after 3 days of treatment and became a sassy, but very sweet little tiger. Mom Maya fell in love with me and decided to stay with me as a house cat. She was a sweetheart ❤

What a lovely story. ❤ Thanks for sharing it. My whole life, since early childhood, has been filled with stories about abandoned animals. Many such dogs and cats have passed through my life all these years. I currently have 5 cats (Petit and 4 others), and only one of them was not once a stray.

@@PetitTheBlackCat Thanks, she was a wonderful cat, but things got worse. She was an incest cat, cursed with deadly cancer and had not much time left on earth. Her kittens had only 3 years, but i loved my little family. Later i was adopted again, this time a beautiful but skinny male cat, a Silver-Bengal mixbreed. Called him Tom, and he was 15 years old, my vet told me. He was with me for 11 months full of adventures and fun, he was playful like a kitten and loved to go out with me, but never alone. He loved running as fast as possible when playing fetch with one of his beloved playballs. My last cat for now was a very old Maine Coon mixbreed with short fur, the face of a normal house cat. The huge paws, his long, fluffy tail and his voice said "i`m a Maine Coon cat". He was a former stray with heavy wounds as a woman from the local animal shelter found him, bleeding and exhausted. She nursed him back to health and he became a lovebug, but nobody wanted to adopt this strange looking, 16 years old cat named Maxi. As he was found, he had a necklace with his name and birthday, and that was all we ever knew about him. After 4 years in the shelter and always rejected, he had huge depressions and the shelter people asked me to foster him for his last few weeks or months. This was short before his 20th birthday. My heart decided to give him his calm place so he could have peace, but then the miracle happened. He flourished and added 6 1/2 more years to his 20, reaching the mind-blowing age of 26 1/2 years. And he wasn`t boring, he had some shenanigans in his head, making me smile and laugh every day. He was a 9 kg snugglebug and lap cat, knowing only love. All those 5 cats were never picky eaters, only Tom rejected wet cat food with fish, but ate the other types with chicken, beef and others. When it is time to adopt, i`m not making a decision, i let the cats decide who wants to be with me. They know by instinct when the right human crosses their way.

Bless him… so sweet… I couldn’t resist giving that chocolate tummy a squeeze!

I can't squeeze him. He is afraid of sudden movements and stronger touches when he is on his back, so he would run away immediately. That's why I'm so gentle and careful. ❤

Thats so sweet. Ive got a beat up little grey ive been feeding for a few years and I've only been able to touch him on the head a couple of times. Still skittish, he eats, cleans himself up a little and goes. I can sit with him but if I move too fast he gets spooked. I just want to help him. I'm glad he comes but when I dont see him for a while I worry.

I understand you completely. I had a similar situation with another cat, which did not have a happy ending. For 4-5 years, she came to me for feeding, we made progress so that I can only pet her just a little before she leaves again. In the end, I moved to another country, took all my house cats with me, and unfortunately that kitty stayed there somewhere in the neighborhood. Sometimes I have heavy thoughts about how she is doing, whether she is still alive, how long she was coming to my former house before she gave up...

Thanks! I keep getting comments like this and I'm glad about it. 🙂 Sometimes I use music but there has to be a good reason (for example, terribly bad background noise). In this video I tried to capture the sound of his purring, so the music would be redundant.

You haven't fully earned his trust yet. I have 5 cats and they all allow me to touch their bellies at some point. Of course, they are not always for it. They must be relaxed and sleepy. ❤

Excellent work giving Petit a great life and gentle attention and affection. He obviously trusts you completely AND reaches his paw out to you as a gesture of happiness and affection!

I had a fluffy, once a stray, black cat that had the rich orangy-brown undercoat like this kitty. He loved belly rubs too. He had been an alpha male; fighter. Neutering turned him into a cuddly, loving, playful, happily indoor sweetie. He has been gone two yrs now. He is missed. These videos remind me of him.💕
