    I can report that mine was near perfect out of the box. I find that reverse flicking with my index finger is the easiest method to access the blade hole.

    100% same problem with the super strong detent. Bought it direct from CJRB. Told them the problem, sent a video of it on their request. They sent a mailing label for return and sent a new one. The replacement is same as the first one. I have a couple of dozen CJRB/ Artisan knives and this is the first one I've had a complaint with. I love everything about the knife except for the crappy action. It's not the design, it's the execution.

    Couldn’t agree more, generally they are flawless-but this one, I’ve heard a few having this issue

    Mine is sharp but that lock is too damn stiff but it's getting better
