And, I'm talking about the fact that other wt you tubers are quite optimistic about su25 in air rb, but here brutal and honest opinion

I get running... everyone gets running, I'm not gonna roll around with a zero. RTBs baffle me though. MFers have zero pride, and aren't looking for a tough fight... it begs the question "Why the fuck do you play the game?" It's a question I have never actually had answered, though I already know what it is: I play War Thunder for honorable and challenging competition... base campers play for the skinner box. To anyone reading this, if you are playing War Thunder to advance to the fun part of the game, just quit now... the game you are playing IS the game. Learn how to get gud, or get to fuckin' stepping... We've got enough people ruining Air RB already.

Keep playing with odd, those videos are so fun to watch.

Still probably the best option as a top jet premium for Russia. The Su-7 is fast +has full ballistic computer, but has no countermeasures and its bomb-load isn't good enough to destroy a base, and its best weapon for ground RB are the S-24s. The MiG-21S is very similar in a "fighter" classification, just instead of bombs it gets some bad AAMs, still gets the S-24s with CCIP for CAS tough.

What i was thinking. Find its weakest Missile. Leave it with them, and drop it to 9.3. Not everything needs a 60G missile that can shoot 30KM.

The charm of an SU25K is that it's at least better than SU-7 in ground RB to pair with the premium T72 and that's pretty much it ngl

My aim-9b (or Robot 24 if you wanna be exact) just straight up ignored the flares and went for a SU-25 today. It made me very happy but I was very surprised.

Would love to see you make reviews for planes in ground RB like you've kinda been doing with Odd, especially for a plane like this.

Man, when you and other YT'ers said that plane was hot, y'all weren't kidding. I just yeeted an Su-25 on the deck, from 6km above them with the Matra 530E. In my experience those missiles never track well

I love this thing quite a bit, and not because it’s any good. I have managed slightly over a 3.0 k/d which I think is alright I guess for a vehicle like this. Most of my kills aren’t even missle kills, but having fun with guns. The su-25 would be so much better if they made it so your br changes via load out. Yea that would mean a lot of reworks for how spawning loadouts in air rn worked and having to preselect. But this thing would be, IMO, almost perfectly balanced at 9.0 without missles. It can’t turnfight or outrun any opponents there but the capability of its firepower as well as energy trapping low skill players makes it alright. I’ve had a great deal of fun in it and mostly because people think it’s scarier than it is and trying to disengage and getting a lucky kill when they run.

I think you hit the nail on the head. I feel they just keep adding planes more and more into the future with stronger and stronger missiles. Don't get me wrong, they are fun. But stop.....This thing vs any play with missiles is gonna lock super hard because of the heat its putting out. Just let it sit with its weakest missiles at 9. 9.7 you're gonna get some Tomcats and it wont be fun. Or give it a modifier for strike attacking the maps. Its not meant to be a fighter, more of a ground attacker. So give it a nice buff for killing AAs and trucks and bunkers.

I don't know. I only bring r-60s. The plane doesn't seem that bad. The gun absolutely desinigrates whatever it hits. I've had decent games in it at least but that was also 5 hours after patch.

Unfortunately it seems you can’t jettison gun pods. Haven’t tried it with everything yet, but it doesn’t work for the F-4E or the Z-11WA.

It hasn't worked on any plane I've tried. That includes the tech tree Su-25. The rocket pods and stuff wouldn't come off.

@@derkaiser9881 You can jettison rocket pods, but there’s a catch. If you run out of rockets and select a different weapon before ditching the pods, you won’t be able to switch back to the (now empty) pods to jettison them. Same thing goes for every other pylon, pod and object that can currently be jettisoned.

@@xavier4519 All aircraft can jettison secondary weapons, you just need to use weapon selection so the game knows what weapon to jettison.

Luckily most thrust vectoring pilots don't know about the thrust vectoring. LMAO mate. You just described humanity.

This thing requires some skill too though, you have epic engines,AA missiles, cool Air-Ground weopons but you can't just rush you need some skill too like when you play on grb you gotta equip weopons that suits you the best and learn how to use them.

0:19 its not the best ground striker but it does help fill the attack jet hole in the russian tree at higher tiers, still doesnt compare to the quality and quantity of strike jets us has at higher tiers lol

Hey defyn please read this comment. As we all know Air RB at top tier right now is a piece of shit, you either have small maps with matches that last 2 min only or large empty EC maps with just 1 AF and you keep flying with nothing around to do. My suggestion is that gaijin should make a PVE mode for Air RB players, it could be similar to the existente helicopter PvE we would have multiples objectives to do like enemy aircrafts, bases, ground units and etc... This would be a great opportunity to use the multirole aircrafts like the A-10,SU-25 recently added since in Air RB you mainly will use Air to Air missiles and bomb runs are almost always suicide, those planes that have more focus on ground attack are useless I think it would be a great addition for Air players that like me are tired of the current state of Air RB at top tier, let me know what you guys think of it.

The could just bring back RB EC with RB controls and SIM EC rules like it used to be. It would be the best of both worlds since there is more than enough room for ground attackers to ground pound and fighters to fight each other too.

Not that I want to ruin the fun or see the Su-25 at 9.3, but seeing it easily rip its wings at full thrust and pulling 10-11G long turns at 850+ kph... it has to be overperforming quite a bit compared to real life, doesn't it?

@@DEFYN you can dodge aim9L on a head on and non head on launchs but you cant with r60s. I act veery carefully around su25s or else if I go infront of them Im just 100% dead. knowing that a plane lower br than me handicaps me to play that carefully just doesnt make sense. regular r60s I would tolerate very much.

If you're going to take rockets for pillboxes, you should just take S-13Os. they one shot light ones and you get 5 shots instead of 2

Got it on sale for $30 so I could grind Mig-29. Being a fighter pilot, adjusting has been... interesting. I used to laugh at the Su-25's as I flew circles around them, and now it's I who gets laughed at 😂😂

@@aesa12010 It _can_ be fun, but in my experience, as someone who's much better in fighter jets, it's a struggle. Nearly everyone is faster and able to simply pull away from you. R60's get flared pretty easily too. It may be a good grb grinder, but I play arb so my experience might vary from yours.

Could you perhaps do an F-4E/F4EJ review in the current meta? Hard ask ik.

It's fucking bullshit on the SU25. Engine exhaust has this invisible wall that magically nerfs the damage you deal to the engines.

Yeah, the Su-26K in war thunder for 60$ or Su-25 in DCS for 15$... sure they are completely different games for different niches, however I still think the Su-25 in DCS is one to one is vastly better deal.

A single gun pod of the DCS SU25 is probably a more sophisticated model than the whole plane in WT. I'd never pay the price of AAA game for this.

Any good guides on Harrier’s thrust vectoring? Like when exactly are you supposed to use it?

The loadout I run in the 25k is always the r-60s, 6 250kg bombs and 2 gunpods. As long as you don’t get focused by more than one dude, you can more than easily get half a base’s health and 3-4 kills in one flight. The r-60s make it possible to do decently well in an up tier to an 11.0 match if you happen to be in a squad that might make that happen.

Although Defyn spits facts and proves a point your team will still try to head on it or die while attempting a bomb run and you will be alone after like 7-8 minutes of match against 6-7 Su-25 and occasional MiG-21

@@Bobspineable That's because the yak-38 also has no flares and can't turn at all. The frogfoot can turn surprisingly well, is fast, and has r60M's which is a substantial improvement over the r60.

Day 2 of asking for an IL-2 video You know what else is an iconic Soviet attack aircraft? The IL-2.

After playing su25k I was a bit disappointed since I have a10, but hey it still can help me grind through soviet tech tree so I would rate this thing 3 out of 5 simply because of missile.

I was bitching about this plane in chat to get a general sense of what people think. It's a prime example of "guns = good plane" in the community. There's really not a lot you can do to something like an F-5C, A-5C, etc. if they're paying even the slightest of attention to you and flaring appropriately. The A-10 is 10x better just because it can reverse people by accident, has better missiles, and can ALWAYS get its nose on you. The Su-25 can almost never get its nose on target just because of how awful the turn is. It's been a frustrating grind to say the least.

This thing IRL is a Furnas it gives massive amounts of heat off its crazy. the R95SH or R-195s The engines are noted for ease of operation, high reliability and combat survivability. They can withstand 23mm round hits, and retain operability after considerable damage (combat proven cases). Sukhoi Su-25 has the Soyuz / Gavrilov R-195s turbojet engines but Gaijin WT wiki doesn't show a thing about this Jet in the tech tree. But from what has been written about this jet it does 58 m/s climb and this game says 62m/s climb with no upgraded stuff. So already they screwed it up. But hey its a video game and Bias prolly is a thing 😆 The R-195 was built for the Su39 which im guessing will eventually show up since this is Su25k is here.

DEFYN Is wrong in my opinion, as it mostly depends on the player, in my opinion. I can grind very well, and destroy bases very well with this thing, in Realistic Battles...

imo this plane is great, tho the R-60MK´s absolute dogshit, I mainly fly this in sim and 9/10 missiles I shoot miss, even without flaring. And I am not doing any fancy pants launches which Magics can and R-60MK should be able to do, idk what it is, it just loses the lock sometimes even when target is flying practically straight.

Anyone played the new Vautour? Is it any good?

Supposedly the Su-25 was meant to be released at 9.7 and not 9.3 (like on dev server). This was hinted before in the dev stream. Anyways, no matter the reason, it comes off as Gaijin trying to make some extra money which is definitely not outside the realm of possibilities.
