Frisson and Flow

This channel will explore the phenomenon of frisson, talk about the latest research and discoveries around frisson, and discuss strategies to tap into it voluntarily, which is known as voluntarily generated piloerection or VGP. Also known as psychogenic shivers and aesthetic chills, this channel will explore ways to use this phenomenon to maximize one's potential, increase connectivity to others, and enhance one's quality of life.

I learned to activate frisson independently many years ago. Last year I figured out that it stops mental spirals and rumination in its tracks. Im currently looking for other uses for frisson and im glad to have found this.

So glad that frisson has been a positive experience for you and enhancing your quality of life! I have found that frisson can enhance clarity during verbal or written communication, induce feelings of connectedness to others, deepen levels of empathy and emotional intelligence, decrease the physical needs of the body, enhance physical activity and modulate pain to name just a few!

Well I still consider my experimenting with it as just starting but I'm glad to hear there are a bunch more things for me to try

If we have a quantum computer in our skull, it is because it is at least connected to the quantum field and to the brain, the management of the signal being able to be more or less limited depending on our own limitations...(funnel) Spearfishing taught me that our brain, or rather our mind, coupled with the part that meets our primary needs (in this case, breathing) makes fun of us a little. If you dive and land on the bottom, you take a nap with your eyes closed, then when you open them you wait...if no fish come, your diaphragm will contract to tell you it wants to breathe. But if a fish comes after that, well actually more contractions, everything is fine, you can stay a little longer after all! it can happen several times in a row but don't push your limits too many times...2-3 times afterwards enjoy the moment...

Should I be able to manually induce Frisson w/out hearing music or indulging in particular activities?

Some people can trigger it just from focusing on the back of their neck or simply activating it by focusing on the feeling, but I don't think it matters too much! What's more important, in my opinion, is to be able to activate the feeling--activating it on command can come in time. I'd say continue to engage in activities and listen to music that helps you activate it. Once you are in the feeling, reflect on what triggered frisson and try to take notes so that you can develop it on command. Some things to keep note of are asking yourself the process of how the frisson started and where in your body you feel it. I would also reflect on the trigger itself and contemplate possible explanations as to why your body reacted with frisson. I hope that helps!

@@FrissonEffects thanks, I really was curious because I can trigger it without doing anything. Just pure thoughts.
