Frigidaire Oven Not Heating Up - How to Replace the Control Board

If your oven is not heating up all the way or at all, but your stove top works, you could have a bad control board. After testing to diagnose the issue, this video will show you how to replace your control board. You can install a new circuit board or send it off to be repaired. This video will show you how easy that is. In the video I demonstrate on my Frigidaire Gallery electric range. It is very similar to a Kenmore set up.
Here are two good videos about how to diagnose what is wrong with your oven when it won't heat up correctly:

    I’m having a faulty relay problem in my rv roof ac unit, I just ordered a new relay and I’m going to try and solder the new one on. I figured I’d try fixing it myself for $7 rather than buying a new circuit board for $180. Great video flip!

    Have the exact same model, mine is doing basically the same thing yours did, but as of this moment haven't yet pulled it out to test the various likely components. Mine will heat to ~240F before it seems to "top out," so to speak, and doesn't want to heat further, other than a few times when I've opened the door, shut off the bake cycle and restarted it again, then it proceeded up to the set temp (350F) in short order almost like new. Bizarre. That's where I apparently differ from the problem you were having, as at the end of your video you said it wasn't heating up at all. I'm hoping it's the temp sensor that's gradually starting to fail, simple and relatively cheap repair.

    Also I've taken the back top panel off mine in the past to remove the overlay for a similar reason you did, too funny. The wife loves to make things on those back burners that throw off a ton of steam without turning the vent hood on, so I suspect that overtime the excess moisture accrued behind the overlay and led to the error codes and buttons being triggered on the display board without being touched (spooky!). We would be sitting in the living room and all of a sudden the oven would start beeping, different cycles being initialized, etc.

    @@Bluebloods7 That is creepy, lol. And yes, hopefully for you it is the temp sensor. Cheaper fix. Mine would go up to about 200 and then just stop there. Good luck with the project!

    I replaced the control board, igniter and the probe on my Frigidaire convection oven and it still takes forever to heat up and does not go up to set temperature either. Very frustrated… what could be the problem??????

    You mentioned taking the overlay off to clean the thing for an error code, I suspect I need to do the same right now. F11 error code, did you need to remove the glued on portion under the overlay also to clean, or just clean the part under black overlay?

  • @fixitFlip

    @fixitFlip

    I did. I removed the glued on part when I had the same error code and cleaned with rubbing alcohol and a cue tip where the buttons connect and that did the trick.

    My oven (also a Frigidaire Gallery, with convection) does not heat to its setpoint. It stays in the 200's F. Could this be due to one or more of the three elements?

    Exact same issue I'm having with mine (same oven as Flip's and yours) - it tops out ~240F and doesn't want to heat past that point. Been able to mess with it a little to get it to proceed onto the 350F set temp a few times while this has been going on, but appearing now that it's completely dead as it doesn't want to proceed past ~200F now.
