Frigidaire Dryer Repair - Does Not Heat Up - Heating Element

Пікірлер: 74

  • @ellesnyder942
    @ellesnyder9425 жыл бұрын

    My machine had quit heating and was turning off after 10 minutes. The first code I got- the one with the odd symbol and the 10 after it- actually meant (according to the service man) that the control panel was having a problem. He tested the heating element and it showed that it wasn't working so we started there, as he said it's common for that to be the real issue. He was right. So- dispite giving a code indicating a control panel issue, simply replacing the heating element did the trick.

    Awesome! Mine gives an error code of "fld r08". Now to figure out what that means. By the way, the "chasing lights" are normal. It'll go back to counting down the minutes as it gets closer to being done drying.

    👍 I have an old Frigidaire dryer FDE216RES1- with the circular coil element. I recently replaced the ball hitch & bracket along with the belt to eliminate squeaking. Everything was fine- for a day. Now it turns but no heat. So far I checked to make sure I have 240 volts. Checked continuity on heating coil Thermal fuse and thermostat. All seem to be okay. My wife looked online and was convinced it’s the thermal fuse so I ordered a replacement and put it in. Still no heat. Then to test I pulled the drum out checked connections and turned it on. Every time I turn it on there is a distinct “pop” sound. No sparks, smoke or smell- just the little pop. Any suggestions?

    1) The chasing lights...or "race-tracking" is normal operation during a drying cycle....2) if it is shutting down prematurely then I would try putting the dryer into diagnostic mode and see if there are any fault codes present and go from there.

    I did the service mode.. first thing that came up was something I believe was supposed to say E10.. however the only part of the E showing was the center cross piece and the part that drops down from there- not the lower or th uppers. So if it's E10 that means the control board? Then every time i turned the dial in that mode I got different numbers...E02, E50, E14, CO-1, and 286. Does any of that mean something? Mine doesn't heat and shuts off after 10 minutes. After pulling the plug and waiting 5 minutes and restarting it briefly went on a full cycle, and the numbers counted down properly but no heat. Then it reverted to shutting off and the when it was on the display did the racing display rather than counting down. (it has done that forever- we thought it was normal.) I'm thinking the 3 main things it might be are computer board, heating element and thermal switch. Where wou;d upi start?

    Hi, I have a Frigidaire FAQG7077KA0 and it started showing the "Chasing Lights" on the LED Display. When this happens, it seems that the dryer is stuck in the Drying Cycle. The dryer was set to 50mins, but after 1 hour later, it is still running and still in Drying mode. There is hot heat and all the clothes are dried, but the machine does not stop. I had to manually cancel to stop the machine. Has anyone experienced this issue? Does anyone has an idea what's the issue might be?
