Thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge and expertise. You just saved me a lot of time and money. Some settings gave me E61 and some gave me E64. I noticed continuity across grey wires and upon removal of the heater I noticed coils sagging and touching. Your video gave me the confidence and information I needed to complete this project. Thanks again.

Got the E64 error and promptly bought a new heating element on Friday. It came the following Monday and I followed the disassembly instructions shown in the video. Replaced my heating element and presto....no more errors. It took me about 3 hours to accomplish this personally amazing feat. Great opportunity to get into the chassis and clean out all the dust and lint. I also found a clogged up vent.....probably why my heating element burned up. Was also able to see the coil had come apart, so my hunch paid off. Thanks!

The 3 grey wires that connect to the heating element....do they each connect to a specific element connection or does it matter

That model of machine is also branded by Kenmore, Samsung, electrolux, fridgedaire, and more. 134792700 is part # for Kenmore. I think it would x-reference. Easier for me to go though the back and replace on kenmore. Advice is to get cheap hammer drill or set drill "clutch" to 8 or 9,,,helps vibrate screws loose on back. Same thing happened to mine, melted, but worse. Thanks.

Fast Eddie's Appliance Repair at the end of the video did you say that making sure you have a clean vent will help prolong the life of the heating element ?

Too bad your meter wasn't working. I wish you would of just shown how to plug in the meter with it off lol...then i could do it myself lol..also how easy it is to take out that front vent, and where we should look for that 10% at in the wires just incase the circuit isn't open. And Thanks for the Plug screwdriver usage insight! Genius!!!

the 3 terminals on the left are gray and the terminal on the right is black and the pink ones go the thermals and i think there wired inline with each other. but this may differ from model to model so you need check the schematic in your tech manual. or just watch how it comes apart .

My mom is having an e64 error on her Frigidaire dryer. She says that she can do a load and then the second load gives the error. If she unplugs is then try’s again it will work until she does a second load again. What would be causing this?

Johnny Utah I would search by the model number of your dryer. That will lead you in the right direction, as far as replacement parts go.

Have had my washer and dryer for 6 years, they are exactly like the one you are working on. Have had to replace element in dryer 3 times already. Why should this be. Seems to me like a money raquet so you will have to keep putting more money into something that should last longer than that. I paid over 2 thousand dollars for them, worst financial mistake ive made in a long time. Cheap made and definitely not worth half what i paid. They got me once but it want happen again.

Terry Hall it sounds like your vent is not flowing very good may not even be clogged.may just be to many bends or to long of a run or you may be your running at the limation. Your aloud 25 ft and every 90 dig. bind takes 5 ft from that number even worse if it's in the vent hose because it's not smooth and I would also not use the highest heat setting as much as possible that adds to the were of the elements on these

I’ve had my set since 2012! Never had ANY issues with washer or dryer until this year! My washer is leaking and today I cleaned the vent and this (E64) started happening! I agree with Fast Eddie! Clogged vent, down the line? Something else causing the burn out!
