Frigidair mini fridge power supply upgrade
E270: a little side line from main stream Amiga videos, my mini fridge blew up. so in this short episode, i purchase a Meanwell power supply (twice) because i didnt read. and wire it up! . does it work , did you see that spark on the cover? well... watch and see!

It's a shame you threw away the small power supply the small 10uf 50v capacitor on the board is the problem that fixes the green flashing light and a fan not turning. I fix about fifteen of these fridges the same thing the same cap thanks for the vid

Thank you! My mini fridge died. I tested the power supply and it was dead. I ordered the same power supply you used. My mini fridge was a little different that yours and it was a bit tricky to get the power supply to fit. But I got it in. And now my mini fridge works! I hope this power supply lasts a while.
My on/off switch nearly melted . Board is burnt black beneath the switch . I looked at the board and it looked like there is a short from solder flux on it. Might try to get a switch from the electronics store 10 miles away.
put a 3 pin noctua 80mm uln fan. used a 3 pin to 2 pin adapter and a 2 pin extension. soldered the 2 pin the the hardwired dc lines to the extensions corosponding lines and then hooked it all up and mounted it. 1300 of the quietest rpms
I had a coca cola version with the same problem. I basically chopped out the crappy power supply and wired it directly to an external 12v power supply with an inline switch. Works like a champ again
Could have used an External DirecTV 12V_4.5 A_Power Supply,or similar.Can find Great Deals on them & others at Thrift Stores.I got LOADS of them an installer left for dump & others....

My fan runs but no green light
10 uf 50 volt is the problem.

Hmmm, see my AstroAI 2.0 6L mini fridge won't do anything. No lights light up, no nothing. The power cord itself is good, but I'm not sure where to go from there to diagnose the issue..

I just fix one it was the 2 capacitors they are the 1000uf 25 volts
I wonder if you can just by a laptop power supply and put it in there.
Okay i read thru all the comments, you don't have a picture of the wiring.
I haven't had mine for a week and it magically stopped working. Cute but as a trucker I'll probably never be in the same city again to return it 😔
