FRIGHTENING Encounter SOLO Camping Northern UTAH | Plus Interview!

I interview one of out viewers named Rodney from Northern Utah. In 2016 Rodney was solo camping in the Monti Cristo Range of the Wasatch - Cache National Forest. His first night he heard some very frightening sounds coming from the forest that made him fear for his life. He had a night of terror that changed his life.

I'm 60 and have been solo hunting and camping in the deep woods since I was 10. Bigfoot is the last thing I'm worried about at this point. There's far stranger things than that out in the wilderness where nobody goes. Much stranger. Often it's the place itself that's not right. Follow your gut feeling. I just don't talk about what I see or have seen. I think whatever separates this reality from somewhere/something else is thinning and increasingly allows passage both directions in certain areas at certain times.

First warning: gut feeling that something was going to go wrong. Second warning: the campsite he wanted was not available. Third warning: he felt like he was being watched. 🤷🏽‍♀️ The only way I stay after all that is if I have the national guard looking out for me.....probably not even then. Glad he's okay.

When I had an experience, telling other people, I quickly learned that they don’t want to hear it. They asked me what kind of drugs was I on all the way to, “I don’t believe that.” I quashed my story for years. I was 17 when it happened. I was scared out of my mind. When I hear someone say, they were scared out of their mind over something…I feel like, they don’t really understand what that means. I was so scared, my mind was trying to grasp at ANYTHING that would make it make sense…and when I couldn’t, I really thought I must be going insane. That, my friends, is being scared out of your mind.

I had many different paranormal experiences in my life. I'm pretty vocal about it because that subject is just so interresting to me. Found out that the more you speak about it, the more people will loosen up and at least one out of two people have (somewhere in their lives) lived trough something they can't explain. Little tips : - ALONE Always speak about it when you are alone with someone or else social pressure will have the best of them and they'll mob against you or dismiss your speach. A single person on the other hand has nothing to loose opening up to you. - STAY CALM Just tell your story as calmly as possible without asking questions or crying or screaming. When you're done the other person will A. Give you a look of disbelief and you should avoid the subject further on with this person. B. Tell you (at least) that they believe you and (sometimes) come up with their own stories (or the one of someone they know). - YOUR AUDIENCE Choose the right time and the right target. I don't think that speaking about UFO (for an example) with a bunch of moms in a kids park is the right time nor the right place nor the right audience... On the countrary, almost 100% of hospitals staffers like nurses and janitors believe in ghosts or the after life (and Oh Boy they got plenty to tell about it !).... - last tip : Alcool helps ! 😅 People loose their boundaries under the influence, so a late partyer is probably going to listen to you.

He felt uneasy with the empty tent, had a sense of foreboding that something bad was going to happen even before he arrived at the camp, and felt he was being watched while at the site but he still decided to camp there. My brother in law, now deceased, grew up in a cabin in the mountains of southeastern Kentucky. Said one night the family heard a ruckus on the front porch. They ran to the door. A big foot had grabbed a puppy off the front porch. When they opened the door it ran off dropping the puppy. Knowing my brother in law there's no way he makes that up.

He fell asleep because there was no reason not to after a long time of listening and it was not repeated. A 'Whoop' does not sound as threatening as some other sounds one might hear. He also fell asleep after hearing the screams but I could see if he was up there because he lost his wife he'd be so emotionally drained from the previous week of taking care of his deceased wife he'd be completely exhausted. And one more thing - if he felt he was hearing a Bigfoot that would not be as frightening as hearing a grizzly because Bigfoot is not very much known for attacking humans but just leaving them be in their tents until morning, at least that is what most of these stories relate.

None of us ever went back there again and these two officers never bow hunted again. I've had a couple of really strange occurrences but was able to explain them in the morning once I had a chance to look around. Your informant clearly believes what he experienced. Big foot would be very scary but it seems they just want to scare you away! One thing never throw things back at them because you are asking for mor terrifying happenings. They will chase you and throw bigger stones at you at amazing speeds. You can make them mad and they really would be unpredictable. Now a Bear is not the same thing! They are extremely dangerous. They def are not afraid of killing you and drawing attention they don’t think like that they are not concerned with anything they just come after you if they choose to! You really have a problem if the bear comes after you! Bear Spray discourages them but you better have a place picked out to get to safety. Always lock car doors they will get in your car easily and tear it apart! They look for food that drives them on!

I have heard that scream as well. It was 30 yards away down in a ravine. I lived at that very spot for some years and worked fire clearing all around the area. Cougars, bears, bobcats, etc. all came through at one point or another. The screams sounded like a woman being brutally murdered. I ended up having to call the rangers and law enforcement. But there were no signs of anything. They knew and trusted me but that call got me some funny looks. In 2004 I came across a hairy man creature on the other side of the mountain. The tree part reminded me of the time, while living on a game reserve in South Africa, we woke in the morning to find signs of the elephants having moved through our camp. The weirdest part, was that an elephant had up rooted a tree, a small one thankfully and placed it very nicely on the bonnet of our car. Like a calling card! They also stepped over a 5 foot wall, into the kitchen garden to eat all the produce.

I’m thinking we are too ignorant and don’t really understand or comprehend that we share this planet with other very intelligent beings; we are NOT the only intelligent species on this planet on land or in the seas.. We SHOULD are-evaluate our assumptions and should feel ASHAMED by the way people have treated other compassionate, intelligent beings that we SHARE this planet with… the atrocities committed against them, breaks my heart.

Sorry, hit wrong button. When I bought my cabin, my dog (a Yorkie, not a big dog for protection) were the only ones up there. We went for a hike, and I literally walk into their habitat. Yeah that feeling of being watch was so intense, I got the heck out of there. Still did not know about them at that time. Moving many years later and after research, I now know all about them. It is the most eye opening experience you will ever have. EVER. So once again my new dog and I were again alone at the cabin. I had invited the Xanue pronounced Jon nu, to visit me at the cabin. My bathroom lights fuse was blown so I had a small battery lantern in there. Middle of the night, had to go. As I walked into the bathroom, before turning on the lantern,. There on the floor was a big Orb. It disappeared. I told it to come back. Oh it did alright. First thing in the morning. I had just woken up when I had a growl in the cabin. The bigfoot was cloaked. It then told me it's name. I, of course was frightened at first, but it left because it knew I was frightened. I have had many experiences since then. There are 3 different kinds of bigfoot. The Xanue ,(the good ones). The Treykon ( the bad ones, they will kill you and eat you). And the XuXiku (fallen angels, they are bad too.). What you experienced up by Monte was the Xanue. They are para-normal and can cloak. They are more human looking. They came to our planet because their planet was dying. We can connect and I can teach you all about them if you would like,. They will then know you and protect you from any harm when you are in the forest. Also what one knows, they all know. I could tell you stories for hours,. It is so amazing, like I said it will change your life for the better. They have brought me to God. God has asked them to help our human race to learn to reconnect with God. I also have eye witnesses who have seen them in my house. I also have videos of my Guardian Angel in my house. And for the none believers,. That's Ok,. Because they don't know what they are missing out on. Happy Squatchin

I doubt I'd come back for it. This man seems like a great guy...glad he has sons, and he can enjoy their company and continue to go camping. Thanks for sharing the story, and I really enjoy hearing the story from the actual person who shared it with you.

His story reminds me of a bad backpacking experience i had in wyoming with my wife. We got up there late one night on a dirt road up to the forest noticed the cattle all in a circle facing outwards. Gave us a bad feeling decided not to camp that night. Went back the next day entire time felt like something was watching us on the trail. Camped next to a lake. That night as we were laying in our tent something came into our camp was eating right outside our tent we could hear the crunches of whatever it was eating. Had us terrified. Then eventually it just left. Havent had an inkling to camp since.

I can't believe that people still sleep in tents. The way things are today, I want some steel between me and the outside world. How is a nylon tent going to stop even a dull knife? Nope. Either a tow behind, RV or a full-size van for me. The last time I slept in a tent was the late 1960's in the Gila National Forest in NM. Even then, times were changing, and it just didn't feel safe.

March 24th 2023 I've heard a lot of stories of encounters with the Bigfoot- Sasquatch... This story pretty much kept me on the edge, and I have to honestly say I'm glad that this gentleman live to tell about it! I'd say when you have that bad feeling inside, we know it as a gut feeling ... It's always best to heed to it! If you feel like you're being watched, you usually are!! But I honestly wouldn't go back to that same area knowing that all that happened to me in just one night... Usually that's a huge message from the Bigfoot- Sasquatch. It's simply because they don't want you there in their area. It's a real blessing that they were not super aggressive with this gentleman and physically chased/ ran him out of the woods. In other words those were just warnings to him to get out and stay out of their area. Believe you, me I know this from personal experience!! Loved the encounter story Chris!! 🙏 Thanks for sharing it with us viewers! You're the best!! Keep hiking!!👍👍

Mountain lions (and Florida panthers) scream like that. I've heard them 2-3 times, also saw and heard one growl from about 10-12 feet away behind our Army tent (the kind of sound that makes everyone jump inside their tent no questions asked and not go back out again until daylight). Seen the tracks in fresh snow; their shape, stride, and habit unmistakable. Quiet, sensitive, observant people (like myself) can always 'feel' when they are watching (i.e. stalking) us. How I survived my several experiences with them is miraculous. I also camped out in the open (no tent) in the remotest depths of the Okefenokee Swamp, the first night in the wild surrounded by huge alligators lurking just a few feet away, grunting so loudly and persistently that I could not sleep. And the worst part is that they would stop and become dead quiet every time I lifted my head trying to see in the inky darkness. So they too were watching very closely and probably hungrily. Another thing: Mountain lions usually hang around good water sources like creeks, rivers and swamps.

Just love the good clean storytelling, the gorgeous cutaways to the beautiful views, you bring in the music in a wonderful subtle way, all brings back the best memories of my life camping for a month at a time every summer in the Northern Rocky mountains with my Dad off trunk and ranger roads.❤. Of course the beer is the cherry on top! 😂. Only had one truly eerie experience, have never forgotten. I was about 11yo, knew something was there we’d hiked about 2 miles up a trail off a trunk road…my Dad said “lets go”…we kids didn’t question and we left quickly. 40 years later and it’s fresh in my mind. As a former entertainment television producer, for your interviews, before you start the recording, just tell the subject--- I’m just going to let you tell the story, I will not interrupt unless there’s a need for clarity, in that case I’ll stop you. Because this is not a conversation, but a recounting of an experience there will be pauses and breaks some times by the subject and that’s ok. If you let the subject know you won’t interrupt then they will just keep going at their pace. You can always do edits later. You can tell them, when I get into production I may make an edit or two just to speed things up. Normally an interviewer will stay completely silent while a person recounts their tale, but I think your occasional grunts and singular exclamations work. Just tell the subject I may make a sound but unless I tell you to stop telling your story, don’t. I hope this is helpful, not critical, you’re doing an amazing job, just pointers on interviewing techniques that allow for editing and make the subject fluent in their retelling. Stay blessed!!

I enjoyed it so much that I had my daughter, home from college, listen to one while we did a puzzle. She said they were too scary because of the dramatic pauses and how you told the story; it built too much suspense. :D This new thing of including the call at the end of the video is super cool. At first, I thought it would be redundant because you already tell the stories so well, what else is there? But it does add a richness to it to hear that real person tell what happened, and I love all the varying accents. Thanks for the hours/days of enjoyment! Terrifying experience. I cant imagine going thru all of that. The whoops were bad enough, but then the blood curdling screams - wow. Another good one, Chris!

There have been MANY eyewitness reports to the RMSO ( Rocky Mountain Sasquatch Organization), over the years from people camping/hiking in this area, actually some recent reports as well. My condolences to Rodney on the loss of his Wife.🕊

In my opinion that was his wife telling him to not go to that camping spot. I personally have felt that bad feeling when I was camping with some high school buddies of mine at Bear Cabins in Smoky Mountains. This is back in 2007.

I am 52 years old, and I have had encounters like this about half a dozen times since my first overnight camping trip in the Mark Twain National Forest at 12 in 1982...My first encounter was the most intense...something followed my 13-year-old cousin after dark when he stepped out of our cabin to use the bathroom...he burst into our camp saying something was out there...there were 3 adults beside us...we stepped out and something started screaming and took off through the woods...it sounded like an elephant running through the woods, trees were snapping and it ran to the bottom of the valley screaming, and up the next ridge...breaking everything it encountered...it took it about 45 seconds...it would have taken a person at least 30 minutes....Bigfoot is real...

@@raider7829 I am guessing it had been around our camp for a couple of days...this was our 4th night of camping, and I think hearing kids' voices is what brought it in...and seeing all of us burst out of the cabin at once startled it...I still go to that same area today searching for Bigfoot...I have had many other things occur, but nothing close to this.

My family has forty acres in the mountains very close to his location where this happened. I have experienced two things I cannot explain there. This area from Monte Christo northward until Logan Canyon has lots of Sasquatch sightings and encounters!!I would bet his encounter was near six bit spring……just a guess

The first indication that “all was not well”, was that empty two man tent, with no one around. They either “got the hell out of dodge” so fast, they left their tent or “something got them”. A good reason to go to another site.

So very sorry for your loss sir. Thanks for sharing your experience. I know it isn’t easy especially when those closest to us, doubt our word. Am glad u didn’t let it alter your life permanently. I believe they are just curious territorial beings, incapable of not spying on humans when we enter their “realm”. I believe I had an encounter as a young toddler. Nothing else makes sense…I’ve only shared story w my parents and my partner. They just cannot fathom, and I agree, how I can replay the memory of a camping trip we took when I was barely 2 yrs old!? Which then sprouted a reoccurring dream/nightmare for the next 7-9+ years. I couldn’t name the subject of my dream as a child because I didn’t know what it was-i referred to it as “the screechy monkey man” and still rem almost every detail of dream, 40 years later. While watching the countless Bigfoot related videos when I became homebound, and the resemblance I saw brought back all those memories, as if a dam broke. Take care Stay safe 🕊

I had the exact same experience. Have also spent hundreds of solo nights in the woods. Oddly enough I also was armed with a ,357 sleeping in a hammock. The sound was like a woman screaming at the same time her throat is being cut.. Super freaked me out. Looking back I am certain it was some type of wild cat fighting /breeding. Love your channel! A+++++

Your description sounds exactly like the scream of a female mountain lion looking for a mate, as I understand it. There are a few videos of it here on KZread. I imagine that this is why some woods are thought to be haunted by witches. Fox and bobcats also make terrible sounds.

Glad you had the mind to pack a .357 magnum. Gotta be prepared for 4 legged and 2 legged predators. Lots of demented, violent people who live in the woods to keep away from the law.
