Frieze Masters, Ed Ruscha in conversation with Ian Wardropper

As part of Frieze Masters 2014 Talks, Frick Director Ian Wardropper spoke with contemporary artist Ed Ruscha. Their conversation sheds new light on many of the Frick’s masterpieces. Ruscha, an American artist associated with the Pop Art movement, has worked in a variety of media, including painting, printmaking, drawing, photography, and film. His painting Seventeenth Century will be on view at the Frick through June 15, 2014, as part of the special exhibition Renaissance and Baroque Bronzes from the Hill Collection.
