Forklift Certification works on a logarithmic scale, the stronger users of it are EXPONENTIALLY stronger than the weaker ones. So despite having the same power, Bumblebee is NOTHING compared to Eggman's power, which exceeded Golden Frieza.

Honestly, to me this episode felt like a really big passion proyect, it has some áreas were it could have improved (namely what you said about managing what happened in the story boards and the animation itself), but overall... I love this episode, it's just a ride that I really enjoyed my time in. Can't wait for Gojo vs Makima.

I would personally give the fakeout a little more credit. Black Frieza dying without doing anything actually kind of makes sense because he doesn't really do that much in the source material either. Hell, I think he arguably does more in the episode than the entire DB manga. Plus they had the music fade after Megatron "kills" him and they even had an ad break at that moment (which gave me the impression that the fight segment had just about wrapped up). But yeah, I do agree with the pacing issue but I think the fight makes up for it with its raw moments.

They even did a musical fake out. If you listened to the track before the fight, it ends right when Megatron is standing there alone, but for the actual episode they added an extra section that plays when Frieza is revealed to be alive

Popped off you say? I didnt just pop off when I saw that Golden Frieza transformation, I became a monkey when I first saw that.

I had fun with the episode, as a Dragon Ball fan and an enjoyer for Transformers through Transformers Prime and Beast Wars. The music was good, the VAs did amazing, and of Course DevilArtemis did an Outstanding job with the animation. And correct me if I'm wrong, but not only was this DA'd fight Battle done in Blender but also his First Dragon Ball character DB, I just found it surprising to realize that given his channel's content revolves around Dragon Ball characters it's only now he gets to work of a Dragon Ball episode of Death Battle, maybe that's why it turned out so well with him being in his element

Here is my top 3 for season 10: Darth Vader vs Obito (my fourth most wanted) Bill Cipher vs Discord And Frieza vs Megatron There is only one word for why they are my top 3. In the words of Mermaid Man: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLL!

I was never hyped for this match but with a dream team working on it and the long awaited comeback of transformers this was destined to be a great episode,and no matter your opinion on them as characters they are some of the most iconic villains in all of fiction. Edit:Tom Shulk has been giving his A game this season!

I dont need sleep, i need to watch this But anyway, as a Transformers fan, this was an amazing episode for me, especially with the music and animation, even if i wish we got the storyboarded panic bubble scene. Also i am so ready for Makima vs Gojo that was my 2nd most wanted. Ive basically said this exact same thing 3 seperate times in different videos but i like speaking my mind

Megatrons analysis in this was great it gave me the motivation to go back to getting into transformers a series I haven't watched since I was 9 Then a transformers fan in a server I'm in ruined it for me saying the analysis was objectively bad and just was generally being rude about saying shit like "they should have just full comped Megatron to give him the win" even tho they didn't comp him they just used IDW Megatron but gave him some cartoon weaponry for the sake of the animation and to feed fans and including more would have only harmed the problem rather than help it Little tangent aside I'm not gunna get into the series again but episode fucking slapped Megatrons monologue is up there as one of the best lines in season ten with the animation having some high highs and some low but not terribly so lows 8/10

Freiza gains black form by training 10 years, in contrast to gaining his golden form by training for only 4 months.

i honestly love the time for golden frieza's transformation- it's appropriately grandiose for someone like frieza who's ego is paramount to seeing himself above the gods themselves- of course his transformation should be shown as such! But that's more just me enjoying frieza as a character, if you aren't too keen on him I can see how it'd drag on also death battle mentioning the frieza liking yamcha gag is my personal favourite bit of the episode

Honestly i don't get the many complaints about the Golden Frieza transformation taking "too long". Nowadays, most transformation sequences last like 1-3 seconds and either body the opponent or get bodied themselves in like 5-15 seconds. Funnily enough,Black Frieza is the perfect example of what a modern Death Batlle transformation looks like

When the matchup is mid but the episode is great:

You know, I get more Reverse Rosé vibes than Wings of Iron from Final Formers! Also I agree with you with the underutilization of the Panic Bubble in the fight.

this season is such a huge improvment that season 8 the most hyped season feels like season 6 compared to this and we don t even talk abaut season 9

Yeah I think the huge problem with dragonabll at the moment is that we dont really have an oppertunity to see universe busting feats beyond. the shockwave because given the limited multiverse we cant really be allowed to see that. Lest there be no setting for the story of dragonball to take place in anymore.

On a rewatch the fight feels really slow at some points, and some things they do feel super basic, cool but basic. Cool battle but you can also feel the wasted potential at the same time. The cannon spam thing was something i did notice the first time because it was pointed out the cannon cannot spam 😅 At the end i thought Frieza looked weird, prob because of the angle/effects, i never noticed he turned into black Frieza

15:35 The "You Fool" bit is another Dragon Ball reference to when Goku blasted Frieza after he said "You Will Die By My Hand." Also, Frieza's pose when the antimatter consumes him is the same pose when he gets blasted by said "You Fool" blast and nearly dies.

I definitely feel ya with the sentiment abt DB characers being samey vs-wise, Frieza is kinda the last DB character left that I could see myself being excited for cause of that. (And mainly cause I love his personality) Also as someone who is big into Dragon Ball, your assessment of Black Frieza is kinda spot-on as to how it felt seeing it in the manga lmao

Black frieza one shotted UI Goku and UE Vegeta. Black Frieza is the coolest Frieza. In just 4 months he went from maken saga to golden.... for the black form he trained 10 years... that alone should give shivers to everyone seeing it.....

Yeah, Black (Air Force) Frieza one Shotting UI Goku and UE Vegeta would hit more if you knew the details of those forms...

The fact that Goku got a death battle against himself before Frieza got one with anybody will never not be funny to me.

You say it's not helpful to just say the storyboards were better but judging by your own points they absolutely were. You point out how good the rest of the episode is beautifully flashy and DA made everything look so good, so if that polish followed the boards for better pacing we'd end up with a good-looking, better-paced fight, so by default what we got is inferior. Not that you make it that MUCH inferior, but still inferior. All that remains separate from my opinion on the episode, to be clear, I find it...mid. Annoyingly so. A lot of high points but a lot of low points with Megatron's analysis being a definite low point and way too many cases where it continued to display to me why this matchup wasn't a good idea...and even a number of potential saving graces being left on the cutting room floor. But some parts of it are reparable and you do even display that with a rewrite. Here's some food for thought though. If Megatron aimed his animatter center of mass or did what he did in the comics by opening up the panic bubble and unleashing it then...Frieza just dies. So their own logic, while absolutely giving Frieza superior stats, has holes in it. And their own presentation does as well with the antimatter covering Frieza on all sides during the fakeout which...is what they then say wouldn't happen. A few whoopsies in a row that are also reparable.

Trapping Frieza in the panic bubble before using the antimatter only works if you assume both that the panic bubble is indestructible from inside and that Ki doesn't interact with antimatter at all.

The ship line always stands out to me, ain't he a robot? Why do his lips have saliva? I know it's a nitpick but it sticks out to me for some reason lol

So the way you say you would "fix" the fight is just speed up most of Freezer's cool moments to make Megatron's cool moments longer makes me feel like you are a bit bias.

I mean if we’re being real, Frieza dominates Megatron for most of the fight and has several references worked into his scenes and dialogue, so I think it’s only fair to spread that treatment out to both characters. I don’t see how it’s biased to want both combatants to share an equal amount of the limelight.
