Now I've seen so many reactions and videos about the end of the season and not a single one mentioned that Frieren calls Fern her apprentice for the very first time. I think Fern's briefly visible reaction to this is one of the many wonderful little details in this series.

Frieren seems timeless. I feel as though she will be around allot longer than anyone can imagine.

Frieren is doing what Bilbo always was talking about but suddenly got to old rather quickly without the ring of power if your wondering why the story sounds familiar🌈⭐

This anime was the best surprise of 2024 for me. It was amazing.

Land never even leaving his hometown to take the mage test was impressive. He is an incredibly talented illusionist. I can totally see Ubel continue to chase after him, and not just for his magic. I hope Kanne & Lauren continue to train hard & retake the test 3 years into their futures. I ended up really liking their characters alot.

Just a thought regarding Ubel, serie aside knowing Ubel’s talent she was probably avoiding any conversation with Ubel because she can copy magic by knowing a person. That’s why she kept the conversation to minimum.

If so, that is another example of the masterful writing the series has given us. Put a magic hoarding, ageless elf in a room with a psychopathic human gifted with the ability to imitate those whom she can empathize. How does the elf extract herself without losing the upper hand in the power dynamic? 'You pass, get out'. Give Ubel nothing to work with. It makes the whole scene so much more dynamic: They are fighting in silence.

@Blackheartgamer1 from my prespective just a conversation with Ubel so she can empathize cant copy the magic it self, as we know how the world of magic works its about visualization not imagination. Ubel can copy Wirbel magic because he cast it then she empathize him on the other hand Ubel cant copy Land magic although probably Ubel already empathize with him because Ubel never see or saw Land casting that spell thats why she always following Land everywhere he goes

Ubel passing is interesting because it was already a given but the way Seiri refused to converse sounds like she knew about her imitation and didnt want any reason for her to be imitated

Why do people keep thinking Serie doesn't want to be imitated? She literally gives out magic to those who deserves it. I don't see why she would mind Ubel copying her. Its not as if Ubel ia a threat to her.

@@christoperjohnteodosio2688 We don't even know if Ubel's ability would even work on Serie (or Frieren for that matter). She supposedly can copy the magic that another mage specializes in by empathizing with them. But this empathic connection likely works both ways. By empathizing with the other mage, she can learn a magic spell that the target mage has his or own special emotional connection with. But elves, unlike human and demons, don't really have any magic that they specialize in, as they have the time and inclination to learn everything they want to learn. At best, I think she would be limited to copying only the elf mage's favorite spell, which in Frieren's case would be Flamme's flower growing spell. And who knows what Serie's favorite spell is, or if she even has one.

Initially I thought that it was petty of Serie to ban Frieren, but it partially is a guarantee that if she, for whatever reason, decides to take the exam again she will have to wait for another thousand years. (being banned from ALL CMA facilities is still petty though, LOL) Her participation(albeit reluctant) was a big factor on why so many passed, Its kinda like having a founding board member of the university take a college entrance exam. So many mages learned a lot just by observing and studying her go through it.

Frieren is amazing anime. And PEAK high fantasy series, one of the best things we got on the genre since LotR itself. The story moved me to my my core. It was amazingly done. 👏 Let them cook with the continuation.

Frieren must rub Serie pretty wrong because although way younger than her, Frieren seems more matured...

False. The difference between Serie and Freiren is the understanding of human nature. Frieren was able to understand humans in an emotional level meanwhile Serie's perspective of human's potential to magic. Frieren was simply the same as Serie before she met Himmel. Being human doesn't equal to being more mature. Serie was more mature in an objective sense that's why she failed Freiren in the first place.

They are immature in different ways. That's why they disapprove of each other. They each see the other one as unnecessarily childish for their age.

I thought Himmels words at the end were directed at Frieren about their goodbye and it would be awkward when they meet again in heaven.Frieren bursted out bawling at his funeral so i think it will be embarassing when they meet again because it will be emotional

It isnt the end, so the video title is misleading. At the end of the video it even specifically states that it will continue (at least on the Japan Netflix version).

As far as season 2...nothing has been confirmed.

i hear some people says:Mad house only do first season of a animation. which means if there are season 2 of frieren, probaby it won't be made by Mad House. although i really hope Mad House keep doing season 2 (and season 3 or so on).

Fern's spell request shows the problem with Feel Good anime characters. I get that they are trying to show it's better to choose simple, more mundane spells, because they bring more joy, but what started their journey was the request of the drunk priest for the spells of resurrection and immortality, then the dwarf also tells Frieren about how to meet the hero guy. That's the goal of their journey. Or am I wrong? Did I miss something? She could have asked for that spell, if anyone would know it or have information on how to get it or if it even really exist, it would be that elf mage. Yet, the fool just asked for a cleaning spell out of laziness. There is a difference between appreaciating the little things, and letting an rare opportunity go to waste. Things like this make the characters feel 1 dimentional and dumb.

Spells of Resurrection and Immortality do not exist. Heiter lied to Frieren about that. It was all a trick to get Frieren to stay and train Fern. If Serie actually knew a spell for immortality or resurrection, she would have used it to keep her past human students alive.

It was the worst anime ever. I'll be buying the DVD, blu-ray, VHS, and Laser disc versions, t-shirts, costumes, and convincing my ex girlfriend to cosplay as Freiren.😅
