My best friend and I met in 1962 when we both moved next door to each other in Whittier Ca. I was into model trains and he model cars. That started me in the model car hobby and it has kept us in contact, talking and visiting, even though we are now 3000 miles apart.
Knowing Doug, Wayne, Rick, Don and having met Charles but not Jeff(yet!), I heartily second the motion that the friendships are the best thing about the hobby. Some of these friendships go back at least 40 years for me.

Having Charlie as a hobby friend is great. We have had many a model idea exchanges during the years. Truly a non competitive builder who shares his ideas and added so much to my model building. greg
