As a bisexual guy I’ve gotten not “hate” but lots of disbelief. Even from gay men I’ve been with. Even got ghosted because they found out I had an ex wife. Sucks. But hey. I’m happy. The part that makes me laugh. Is I come off 100% straight. Until that moment when I’m in a social situation and comment to my friend how hot some guy is or something. At first people laugh, but the more I do it, then people start to get it. Then comes the conversations. Usually if I meet someone new and I can tell they need to know I will just flat out tell them. But man, the look on peoples faces when they find out is genuinely fun, even if they don’t approve.

Bullets in Bacon Grease Quit trying to victimize yourself. Don’t act like being a straight white man in America is difficult. Because it’s not. At least, those things aren’t what makes your life difficult. Also, if you think that being LGBT is wrong, or not real, then you can’t call yourself Christian. Jesus’ entire thing was acceptance, and if being gay was wrong, he wouldn’t have made gay people gay, or bi, or whatever. If you ‘disagree’ or don’t think that LGBT is real, then you’re just a hateful, and oppressive person. That’s the end of it.

The queer themed episodes always hit home and are super interesting to me. I was adopted and my parents grew up in the late 30s and early 40s. So I had to learn there were a lot of things about my being gay that they truly will never understand and I had to accept that. And Vice versa, my parents had to accept a lot they wouldn’t understand just due to the vast generational gap. These were great “guests” (are they guests lol?) on this episode
This brought me to tears. I loved seeing how many people were so quick to accept him and his outing, even if they themselves didn’t necessarily agree with it, they were still willing to speak up and show him support and defend him ♥️ To all the Bryce’s (Bi’s) out there: Please don’t settle because people around you tell you, what you feel is wrong! I actually enjoyed how many people stood up for him. Because in our society, if a woman comes out bi, people think it’s hot and don’t necessarily consider her gay or straight. But when a man comes out bi, people automatically assume that he’s 100% gay and is too afraid to admit it.

@@bluecherry760 it's technically an effect of the male gaze, directly or indirectly. A bisexual woman is seen as offering an opportunity for an ffm threesome, which caters to straight male fantasies. So bisexuality in women is seen as a quirk or kink because m/f action and f/f action both cater to straight male fantasies.
This scenario hits close to home for me because whenever I 1st came out as bisexual it was to my friends and luckily for me, unlike these friends for him my friends actually understood and supported me I'm still literally in tears right now.
This hits so hard to home for me. I've had people literally tell me these things and try to invalidate me just bc of this. It's warming to see WWYD do a segment on this.
That last girl actually made me cry. I myself am pansexual, and I have some good friends who are asexual. So, seeing that she automatically stood up for him, even in front of her mother while she was in the closet, was really heartwarming and inspiring.
