See, it’s tricky here. The usual advice is that the bride should wear what they want to wear. You shouldn’t force her to wear what you want her to wear. And there doesn’t seem to be a middle ground here. So should the bride wear what she wants to wear or should she be forced to wear something she doesn’t want to wear? Or maybe she should get two dresses but that’s more $$$!!. I feel like here no matter what she chooses, it’s the wrong decision lol. She likes it, but it’s ugly. It’s pretty but she hates it. Or everyone gets what they want but it’s five times the budget. Yikes.

FINALLY.... first comment to ever be honest about a Bride's pick. I feel the exact same way about MANY bride's choices on this show and everyone in the comments are so against the entourage trying to be honest in saying a dress just does not look good on her. Of course, some entourages on the show are just being downright ugly and insulting, but that's the exception and NOT the rule.

This is the first time I actually thought the bride should not get the dress she likes and listen to her friends. That dress was a big fail.

Epic fail on the consultant's part. We all watch this show enough to know that a dress exists that has a sexy corset top with a more bridal skirt that her friends would have agreed to, and she would have loved. They said don't worry about the $$ and she just stopped at the short skirt, gave her a plain, "safe" alternative that was nothing that she wanted.

Her first fail was asking about a budget, getting an answer and asking again if that's how much she wants to spend. Ma'am, do you understand what "a budget" means? That dress wasn't sexy IMHO. It was making her look like she's in her 50s but still trying to dress like a teenager.

@@freyja6360 Yes! There was something... desperate about it. It was like a hodgepodge of diffenet parts - seethrough lingerie, drop waist, the stupidest of skirts, awkward length - that looked like they didn't belong together.

The dress was horrible! I am so glad that her friends pointed that out...

I normally don't agree with the friends. But this time her friends were totally right.

And Christy hasn't shed a single tear. She's just dressing for another pageant, and the concept that this is HER WEDDING hasn't occurred to her...

This time i say - listen to your friends.

I admit I'm not a fan of many Pnina designs anyway (though I can admire the physical craftmanship of making such intricate gowns and occasionally there's one and I'm like OK that is beautiful) but this short dress is awful, and the budget busting was absolutely shameful.

The way she is walking and posing, you wander if her wedding isn't just another pageant for her...

Never in a million years would I have chosen that short dress for my wedding. Maybe as a second dress (which is kind of ridiculous) but to each his own.

Very confused on why she would pay so much for pageant dresses and skimp on her wedding dress. Not to mention, that short dress did nothing for her unless her wedding was in Vegas. I liked the idea of maybe that being a reception dress, but not a wedding dress. I agree with her friends. With that said, she is the bride, and she needs to go with her heart. Next appointment, I would bring less people.

@@hayleymariemills I was actually speaking (somewhat) in jest. The garment is simply Victorian ladies' underwear, and therefore presents as sleazy. Her friends were desperately trying to reach a half acceptable compromise in which the bride would not look as ridiculous as she was sounding.

It's one of those dresses that you would look back in 20 years at the wedding photos and think "OMG what was I thinking!" It's horrible!

i don't get it either. she doesn't want bridal, she wants shock value. well if you want to shock your guests then maybe you SHOULD go down the aisle naked. that would certainly "knock them out of their chairs." but maybe talk to the other "naked bride" first about how that actually feels when it comes down to brass tacks (or lack thereof)...

The problem here is there seemed to be flexibility on the budget but it wasn’t clear how much they could spend. The bride wanted to spend $3k. Mom said grandparents are paying and the budget could be increased. And she wanted Pnina. So honestly I feel like if Camille had stuck with $3k, the same thing would have happened anyway, that they would want to try on higher priced gown. None of them seemed bothered by the higher prices.

That was a fashion trend in the early 2000s unfortunately. Heavily lined lips in a shade much darker than the lipstick, sometimes even worn just with gloss. And the thin eyebrows to go with it. It was a god forsaken time, I'm just hoping gen z don't revive it along with the mullets and mum jeans.

Exactly! Until fairly recently, women getting married would always say they wanted to look "beautiful" on their wedding date. Now the majority of these brides-to-be say they want to look "sexy." Wedding receptions are for the grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, coworkers and friends. Why do brides want to look "sexy" for them? Save the sexy for the honeymoon. @@dietotaku

Brides should wear what they want but they also shouldn't look like a clown! I 100% agree with the friends, she'll look back on those photos and hate them because she looks ridiculous in all the dresses she liked.

I hope it an editing error and not such a terrible consultation where they only show 2 dresses. I wish they had shown her a long dress with that sex appeal / bling that she was looking for. Something to try to find a middle ground before, to either solidify the short dress, or open her mind to other options. Again, hoping it's more of an editing issue than a consultation one.

I thought so too, but, then again, no one said she WON in any major pageant just that she had like 8(?) Crowns. Yes, I know she was introduced as a pageant queen, so she must have won at least one pageant. They do give crowns to finalists in some pageants, so maybe that's how she got 8. She certainly did not have that pageant walk or look and, honestly, she did not look that pretty. I thought she might have been a feminized man. The consultant was made up like a drag queen.

If my grandma was paying for a dress there is no way I would go all out. I wouldn't even like her paying for it but if she did I would put in if I wanted something more expensive. I wouldn't though like to spend more than 3k on a dress for one day anyway.

Idk I can think of several dresses Ive seen pulled on this show many times that would fit her vision…especially if the consultant is willing to blow past the budget anyway.

That dress needed an underskirt that would make it longer and more bridal for the ceremony but then come off and leave that short look for the reception. I can't believe they didn't try something else on that was a similar sexy Pnina look in a full length gown. And what is with the consultants make up? I was so distracted by her drawn on eye brows and outside the lips lip liner. I normally wouldn't say something like that, but if everyone in the comments can judge the brides taste, I'm going to question the consultants. Maybe I'm just annoyed she didn't pull a better dress that was both sexy and more bridal. I loved the short dress, but I'm sure there was another in a similar style that was longer.

I think that would have been a really fun reception dress.

I wonder if these consultants are really good at finding dresses or maybe the dresses at Kleinfield just aren't that pretty. The UK version alwuas finds something amazing.

This is a case of the friends being 100% right. The dress was not the best. And I've watched enough episodes to know that kind of corset top has come w long skirts which should have been pulled to try on (would have been a happy medium, & consultant fail). As far as the budget, I hope mom & dad were ready to pony up the difference from Gramma's initial $3k.

I don't think short dresses look good for a wedding dress and I don't get why they can't find something similar but longer?

Not her! Not bridal enough for the first marriage and she’s still young.

She should have gotten the dress that's on display behind them, when they were sitting down talking to the camera, that one was really pretty

$6900 for a short dress that looked average on her. Her friends needed a different tactic. As opposed to trying to convince her that she needed a dress that looked more like a wedding dress, they could have shared that this dress was not as wow as some of her previous pageant dresses. Maybe that would have clicked.

That dress looks like it was made for a toddler. It doesn't look like it fits properly. I'm not a fan of most Pnina dresses I've seen.
