I asked one of the other men eating at the Vijay hot dog stall where I could get a drink. Little did I know, he would offer to show me around, before proceeding to take me for even more food. Yes in western countties family typically means family that you "start" yourself I.e. Your wife and kids. In india, it usually means ones parents, siblings + wife and kids

I m from UP ,army brat. I made a friend in Himachal during my school. Whenever i go there to meet him, he treats me exactly like this. He never lets me pay. The hospitality is unreal in our india. I m really grateful to hav such a good heart friend like Sachin Jain. M an introvert nd he keeps making these amazing trekking plans and i just love traveling with him. Truly a brother from another mother. Can trust my life with him.

Yes! Himachali people are full of hospitality. My father is in paramilitary and he had got a room outside the camp on rent and their owners were very hospitable like family . Now whenever we go there we live in their house and they keep loving us like they do with their own family
