Wow, that was an enjoyable listening experience! Thank you for that. I have always wanted both amps and this makes me want them more. I'm afraid I would never touch may Marshalls if I got either one of these!!

Good Marshall amps are hard to find and their prices are comparable to the more expensive Friedman amps. Additionally, because they are about 50 years old, they require expensive maintenance and are not as versatile. Glad I could be of some help. Thanks for subscribing if you already did!

I have a Dirty Shirley 40 and a JJ Junior whch has the same preamp as the BE. I also have the IR-X which also has the same preamp. The DS and TS are a bit warmer, looser, more "vintage" with a bit less gain than the BE and a bit more open as a result, less compression. All killer. I have been using a pedalboard based on the IR-X and run it direct or into FX return of amps. My absolute favorite is into the DS 40 as I get the extra gain of the BE preamp combined with the DS power amp and tube rectifier and semi open back cab. Best of both worlds. I haven't found the need to rig it up where I can go between the DS preamp and the IR-X Sounds great!

Thanks for the input. I also do like tube rectifier amps. Gotta try the IR-X into my Twin Sister’s return! Cheers.

How does the Twin Sister compare to the Fender ToneMaster?

I wouldn't part with any of them. They are very different. Like two different worlds
