Some people just can't own up to their mistakes, like you probably do, because you immediately see the deputy's misconduct, even though there isn't any. And the driver here is trying to lecture the deputy about things he has no idea about and just because he can't stand the right answer, the deputy is an a**hole. That's your logic too, by the way.

Well, I'm straight and give men wood all day. I have callous on my hands from it. Shit, sometimes I give women wood too! (I work for a lumber company) Fun fact, NO ONE at my job finds that funny. Yet, here we are. 😂

I got pulled over 3 weeks ago by the funniest and most pleasant deputy I have ever encountered. I pulled off the highway onto the service road and into a parking lot. I rolled down my windows, cut the engine off and put both arms out palms up. When I heard him get out and his body camera beep I said “Before we do anything I got two firearms onboard.” He walked up and said “Criminals don’t just come out and declare weapons like that. Especially not at 5am.” I was so confused he followed up with “Relax man, don’t show me yours I won’t show you mine. Cool?” I shook my head and said “I was haul assing. I was doing at least 17 over when I saw you.” He thought “Haul Assing” was hilarious and then he said “The laser tagged you at only 9 over but I appreciate the honesty. That’s not why I stopped you though.” At this point I was super confused and he said “You know we’ve been trying to reach you about your car’s extended warranty. No, I’m joking you were speeding.” I laughed so hard which made him laugh. After a solid 20 seconds of laughter he said “Let me take a look at your drivers license and get you in your way.” Didn’t even ask for insurance came back told me no more than 7 over and to drive safe. I wouldn’t even be mad if I did get the ticket, I was speeding and he was real cool. 😂

This is the way to go about things, especially when carrying. I've only been pulled over 5 or 6 times but received a ticket on only one occasion and that officer seemed like he was having a bad day so it is what it is. I'm always honest, friendly and try to make light of the situation. Cops are regular people too and can appreciate not having to deal with 'just another a$$hole'. If only more people understood that.

Yes, the citizen had class even though the person that is supposed to be a public servant escalated a simple traffic stop into the threat of violence within the first 30 seconds. He doesn't know de-escalation tactics. It's really sad and I feel for anyone's grandmother that gets pulled over by this guy and they can't immediately hand their ID because they might be a little slow. Abuse of authority all because his ego got hurt. Then when the driver is respectful in asking if you can open the glove compartment the officer has to be a complete jerk and a smart aleck. No professionalism at all. It's not like the driver is yelling profanities or threatening the officer. An officer should have some self control in his own behavior. It's not his job to punish someone just because his ego got hurt. His self-image should be stronger and able to endure such a simple traffic stop.

For those who want to know the difference Deputies and a Police Officer are Deputies run a whole county while Police Officers normally enforce city ordinances and work within a certain city Deputies tend to have more responsibilities and are very spread out to cover such a large area. they often help cities in their counties when they request it they do patrol in rural areas where there is no city and are often in charge of court security and even County Jails. Deputies are Sworn in by an Elected Sheriff while Police Officers are not.

Frank made a great point at the end. I routinely go through a tunnel under the Vegas airport where traffic generally flows between 45 and 50, even though the limit is 35. I just always make sure I'm not the FASTEST one. There's always a few pushing 60 through there.

This is just a glorious testament to patience. I was half expecting him to not be able to walk out of his car when he wanted to check out the radar.

By insulting the driver (albeit in a catty, verbose way--"pulpit of misknowledge" obviously basically means "preacher of ignorance/untruths") before the driver got nasty, the cop validated the driver's suspicion that he's getting the business because he decided to record. All I see here is a passive-aggressive sheriff who's more concerned with youtube clicks than making roads safe.

As someone who literally lives in the state of Arizona it is indeed their job to explain everything that Frank was explaining. Tickets, Information on it, options to follow up on the ticket, etc. It would've been a lazy job if he wasn't being friendly and over talkative. He's giving a generous and unrequired amount of effort for a simple traffic stop.

Watch his other videos. He goes on power trips and threatens to yank someone out of the car in one video. That would be understandable if the person was screaming profanities and had committed a major violent crime. But he only stopped the person for speeding and the driver was simply asking the reason for the stop and he was asking politely. Immediately the officer threatened to yank him out of his car because he delayed in handing over his ID. Later in the video Frank was making sarcastic smart alec comments because the driver is respectful enough to ask the officer if he can go into his glove compartment, which most officers would be thankful for, its for officer safety reasons.

In the other video the driver was not rude. He wanted to know the reason for the traffic stop which is his right. He was polite. The officer was rude. In many states the officer would be in very big trouble if he laid hands on someone for not providing ID without the citizen knowing the reason for the actual stop. That's called battery, a crime. And without probable cause or articulating a particular crime it is a violation of the fourth amendment to search someone. He might have a reason but he needs to tell the citizen his reason when asked. That is protocol.

Some people can be SO SO loathsome! And so many are “all-knowing” when they actually get so much wrong and misinterpret and misrepresent reality. The officer didn’t know how to bridge the gap between ignorance and knowledge!! Great description of the crux of so many conversations and disagreements.

I disagree. Most cops just make up whatever they don't know. Simple because they're allowed to lie to the people and also, they aren't required to actual know the law. You can look it up. It's a SCOTUS. Case law, if you wanna call it law....

that deputy sounds like a stand up gentleman, I would totally buy him a beer or beverage of his choice.

Frank is such a well informed deputy. Can respond with his authority when questioned about it in such a great way. He has the ability to avoid conflict in few firm words.

This was the most polite police interaction with a pulpit of misknowledge that I have ever seen. LOL

So this came up on my KZread and I started watching it this is the first time I've seen this so I'm watching a bunch of different videos but what a nice gentleman he does his job correctly he's very polite just trying to keep peace in the world and I wouldn't have that job for anything I can imagine what he goes through but also very good-looking my goodness I'm going to continue watching

Was disappointed that so many of the other videos were comment-locked, glad to see these more recent ones are open so folk can give their verbal support for the series. Doubt they expected Fridays with Frank to get such a reception from all across multiple countries when it started, but things like this are welcome and valuable in showing the vast majority of police around the world are just regular people trying to do their job safely and as compassionately as is warranted. Keep up the good work!
