Trish! Your blouse is lovely and the fabric is lovely. Some suggestions if you don’t mind:1. don’t use facings use bias binding, either self binding or premade from the fabric store. It’ll give you a cleaner finish less bulk with all that facing. Also cut in your shoulders a little bit. It actually makes you look thinner if you cut it in a little. And every time I make a pattern and I usually draft most of my own using the Lutterloh system. I always do a pin fitting and I always check for length tips I do like the it’s not little girl. It’s just very pretty enjoy it or take some self fabric add three or 4 inches in the band. It probably won’t even show.

You did great on the top.I love fabric too and I'm not buying for a while until I sew down my stash. I have some painting to do in my house and if I dont do it, it's not going to do it itself.😂 Sewing will have to take a backseat. Im enjoying the cool breezy days until the humidity comes too here in South Carolina. So happy to see you.❤

First off, your hair looks fantastic. Love the top, well done on figuring it out with no instructions! Ah, the dangers of a thrifted pattern - ask me how I know! It is short - but I bet you could lengthen it with a band on the bottom. It's a beautiful rayon but I can see how it would be slippery. I just used what I thought was lawn but was a stretchy woven poly, and man that stuff was the same way. Not chiffon and with more weight, but ugh. Slipped all over the place. You're so funny, you throw patterns. I throw fabric. tossers unite. I'm so glad to see you! Love you, and looking forward to a visit. - maybe to Atlanta! xoxox

Hey, Trish! I think your top came out great. love the neck ruffle. I lost the instructions to a pattern once and I called the company and they sent them to me in a PDF?, I think. Its a crap shoot every time isnt it? You can invest money and time into it and then it might not turn out good at all. I guess that’s why a lot of people do a practice garment. I’m too lazy to do a practice garment. I just go for it lol have a charming weekend!❤

I would add chiffon tail to that top,just for feel more comfortable with the length

That ruffle top is SOOO cute, oh my goodness. Well done to you for working all that out with a facing as well. I like the length on you, it looks good with the trousers. @@pinkysfarm461 Ha ha, I’m tracing off an Atelier Jupe blouse pattern and it’s taken me 2 days to figure out the pattern markings (which are very few), convert cm to in so I can blend sizes. None of the pattern pieces are marked with the name of the piece. I’m embarrassed to admit how long it took me to figure out that one piece is actually an extention to the front and then to figure out its orientation. 😂
