My take on the lore: E. Gadd went in and took Mario’s painting and revived him in his machine. E. Gadd then told Mario about Luigi’s current state, causing Mario to run as fast as he can to Luigi. He then found Luigi in a depressed state, mumbling about how he failed Mario and blamed himself about his death. Mario then comforts Luigi and they have a nice music session together.

This cover was so wholesome, I loved it! 3:20 was the part that really had some teary eyed moments

*After Luigi wept and wept for what seemed like years.. he decided to muster up the courage to go back in the mansion and try again. It was filled with even more ghostly ghouls.. violent ghosts, and what finally roamed at the roof of the mansion.. King Boo. Luigi fought for his life, using his busted up and rusted vacuum, and drained down the ghosts energy. King Boo disappeared, and the mansion was back veing as empty as it started. Mario wasn't around, though..so Luigi was filled with more misery and was hopeless for a few moments. "After all of that.. that wasn't enough to save him?" He whimpered out. Tears dripped from his eyes as he sat on the ground where the entrance of the mansioned lied. He huddled up and cried, "I'm hopeless.. i have nothibg left.." Suddenly, he gears a familiar voice. "Nonsense, Luigi! You did it!" Luigi tensed up and turned.. it was the red plumber in the flesh. "M-mario?" Luigi stuttered, his body twitched from the shock of his brother; still alive after so long of containnent. "That's me! You saved me, Luigi! Im so proud of you!" Mario smiled before he was suddenly embraced into a hug by Luigi, who was crying on his shoulder. Mario didn't seem to react harshly. He gently wrapped his arms around Luigi back, and the two hugged and wouldn't let go like super glue. "There there, Luigi, I'm here.." Mario assured, patting Luigi on the back. "Let's go home.. the Princess must be worried sick for the two of us." *Luigi nods and smiles before the two held hands and walked away from the dreaded mansion. Once again, showing that with courage and hope, theres always a secobd chance for a better ending..*

This makes me appreciate even more just how brave Luigi is I'm the series canon for facing through his fears to save his bro and just how much he values and looks up to mario, it also makes me realize the full extent of how sad Luigi must of been without mario. Undeniably great story. Almost feels more bittersweet than sweet, maybe because Luigi is still in a ghoulish form implying even after all this he still didn't make it out entirely unaffected

Man. This is actually accurate. This gameover screen never existed in the first place. it was a trailer for luigi's mansion to get people interested. The timer was just for the peoples turn in the beta. Mario wasn't even in a painting. he was meant to be a playable character explaining the 2 player mode and the mario model in the files.

This made me cry. It the good ending.

After that Mario gave Luigi extra life and everything gets back to normal
