Huberman wakes up every morning and has a little chuckle as he has coffee first thing, before he does anything else.

I ❤ ITM so much, and love you going into the weeds. People don't like it, they can click "Like" and move on. About this hand in particular, I'd argue that against the $3 BB population, JJ is a pretty easy fold because people don't find those x/r turn bluffs near enough. And that's what I encourage you to note as you discuss these hands. Not only what the machine expects, but what the IRL population actually does. Y'all have all the experience and skills to discuss that, so do. Like you noted that the opponent's 3bet range was likely to be different than the Sim's. But the IRL x/r range is *way* stronger than the Sim's.

all influencers have is their credibility so no they are not, If you have an audience that trusts you then before you financially benefit from a product, service or affiliation, you should vet it fully. The issue is not when someone makes a mistake. It is when they are lazy and just cashing easy checks to shill for things like Better Help as an example that creates the issues. If a potential sponsor or partner will not give you the means to vet them then pick something or someone else, it's not like there are any shortage of products and services out there to choose from.

This is why poker is easy, people are dumb.,a neurosurgeon, and a year for some1 to realize he screwed up. Was elementary math. Easy, point .8 to the 6th power equals .262, subtract from 1.0= .738, wtf people. And berkey is the worst. I've never seen someone be wrong so much, and still think they know everything

The entire Crystals discussion reminds me of my favorite George Carlin joke, "Think about how F'ing stupid the average person is... then realize that half of them are even stupider than that!" 🤣

@ 33:50 ish -- Why wouldn't you be judged as the spokesperson for a thing that you haven't thought through properly enough to arrive at accurate feedback - it'd mean the value of what you're bringing to the table is based on looks or some other non-relevant factor to the issue at hand?!

As a person who relies on science and research to do my job. And who has done research in the past. Frequently, there is a stats/math expert who reviews the data and stats before a study is submitted for review and publication. In a lot of cases, there’s also people who are “big picture”, concept types. We are taught to be honest. To correct errors. To admit our mistakes. A fellow grad student was getting ready to graduate when one of the advisors on their research committee (the stats guy), caught an error in the statistics. One that was not caught early. My fellow grad student had to go back and completely redo the math and conclusions of their study. Delaying graduation. It didn’t make them a bad person. Or untrustworthy. It actually made them better. Are there short cut takers and line steppers? Sure, but they are the exception, not the rule.

When I was in graduate school one of my most trusted academic mentors told me that as a profession we have no interest "in finding cures for disorders. Our business is symptom management and if we start going down the path of curative instead of supportive therapy and treatment, we would soon be out of business." I left after that semester never to return because it became apparent, at least in clinical research, that the goal was perpetuation of a broken system.why then are the short cut takers all at the highest levels of the profession? a few notable examples of academic malfeasance have come to light in the last few years and all of them exist at the highest levels of Academia. I think the truth is not what you suggest. I think the truth is that these high profile examples point to a flaw in the system that is definitely top down meant to perpetuate a paradigm that is for profit (whether personal or corporate) above all else and I have my personal experience within that system to back it up.

Those two mistakes are not at all equivalent one is just a basic misspeak the other is a total lack of understanding of basic math. At least basic in terms of what this guy's expertise is. Also Berkey is wrong this is not a mistake that's made by dozens of his peers it's a mistake made by red hats in the trailer park and that's it.
