Just so everyone knows, Afriat was caught cheating at playground in Mtl end of Feb 2023. He was banned there for 12+ months. He added chips in during a hand in cash. Everyone in mtl knows this and considers him scum. Who knows if he's cheated in tourneys, we'll never know.

I guess the question is: Are the increased number of trials & application of an slightly lesser edge worth more than sacrificing opportunities to find/learn a greater marginal edge? (The live vs online volume argument seems relevant here.) This seems like a case of diminishing marginal returns at some point along the learning curve. The further along the learning curve the greater the argument for more trials is, imo. Observational note: It was interesting watching Landon process this discussion. He seemed somewhat uncomfortable with the discourse as he constantly seeks perfection (ideal), possibly to the detriment of opportunities (practical). I wonder if there's not something deeper going on psychologically with Landon, as he's young & still processing the gifts he has at his disposal. I guess "His Only Friends" would know better than I.

1:44:40 in the muck A5c vs. 65c was a great takeaway. 1) we want to unblock ace high so our 5x gets value from the calling range. 2) we don't want to get raised off our equity 3) if we check A5c and the flop goes XX. We get to cooler Ak AQ AJ Axs, etc, on a turn ace. Also, cooler some 65s 54s hands on a turn 5.

I've found the most freedom in my life when i went quasi minimalist 4 years ago. I only pocess things that i need. I know people that earn 10x salary that i do but have no free time. To own "want" possessions requires so many resources. You have to keep the widgets climatized 24/7 pay for the security of the widgets. Someone has to clean the widgets and organize them. The list goes on about the ways owning shit sucks up resources. Instead of spending Saturday fishing in the mountains most people spend Saturday cleaning the garage. They ain't happy they just dumb. Useful stupid is the phrase. 😂😂
