I'd love more videos like this. The simple behind the scenes setup and small tricks that make all the difference.
I've been after one for a while, so I've just ordered one of yours. Getting shipped all the way to virtually the bottom of New Zealand!
Thank you Rob.
On Amazon I'm looking for fret saw blades. Are pinless scroll saw blades the same?
Is a Fret Saw blade thinner than one for a coping saw? Not clear the difference. I have a coping saw and issue is, despite thin, it is not thin enough. I cut the dovetail with a japanese pull saw and the blade is not thin enough to go in along the cut all the way to the bottom - I end up having to cut from the top and it is just a lot more work. Thanks
Rob I wouldn't dream of telling you your job but......
I see a lot of those what I call skinny dovetails, they do not look very strong, is it just a looks thing?
Mr. Cosman,
What brand and size is the fret saw you are using and what toothed blade do you use for cleaning the dovetail waste? Nice video too!!!
do you have a video on your wrapping technique? When I do it, it looks half assed, yours looks deliberate.
Just ordered. You wouldn't happen to have some orange tape to go with that black would you?? Hint hint nudge nudge. flyers rule!
Rob, why can't you use a coping saw?
