FRESH WATER FISHING FOR AUSTRALIAN BASS!
Nice change of pace, wading down a river in the rainforest to catch an Australian native, the might Aussie Bass! Luckily no snakes this time haha.
Cheers as always guys, new GT series coming in real hot in the next couple days so stay tuned!

I appreciated this video because it looks a lot like the creeks and rivers I fish in northern usa (minus the deadly wildlife and plus a few more angry cows) and the smallmouth bass fishing is so much fun, such a good fight in current
This one is really cool bud. Nice change of pace.....I appreciate all fishing. Actually luv this style of fishing, walking up a creek fishing all the snags. Good job brother 🤙
Yeah catfish make rings on the bottom

Great video Brooksy. Like the change up in content from ledge spinning every once in a while.
Nice one. Takes me back to bushwacking around the Irwin River, in WA looking for bream. Sometimes these local, natives, trips are the most rewarding. If you can forget about the other wildlife!

Mate come to brissy, I swear there's bream everywhere. That's why I'm going to try some fresh water fishing for Aussie bass on my kayak.b
Great video Brooksy! I remember watching a bass video on the MTF Channel and it was really awesome to watch with Briggsy's calm track playing in the background which made it more peaceful. More bass videos please.

Biiig dangers! The story of Briggsy’s family and the bull is epic.. I’d love to hear him recap it! Platypus explanation was excellent. Psycho small water fishing Brooksy!!! Great video!
Love your vids bruv, awsome location yeww🤙🏾🤙🏾🇹🇱
awesome video lol its amazing how much life is contained in a small river. pretty cool that u get to see a platypus here haha
Love this style of fishing lads, well done.
Catties not only make and defend there nest vigilantly they are also a sign of a really healthy river system 👍
I love all of the video you guys produce! So let me shed some light for my brethren here in the states as I have fished for Aus.Bass. (Old guys call 'em perch), as well as all of our species. I believe I can shed some light. It is a lot like hitting smallies in rivers here except the Aussie bass is more fierce pound for pound. They spawn in estuaries. My unproven theory is that any fish that lives in salt, even part time, is usually stronger pound for pound than it's freshwater counterpart. Think steelhead vs. rainbow trout. Technically same species...really a different animal. Same for impoundment striper vs. striper in surf or estuaries. These bass hit like school striper in salt, (sorry Southerners, not the mushy ones from lakes). They also get large...up to six lbs and can be a real handful in the confines of a small stream. Advice if you ever go down. DON'T pick 'em up by the gills. I still have a scar thirty years later. More advice: Go do it. Some of the best light tackle fun you can have.
Broooookssssssy! Haha I enjoyed that catch you waited for all day. 👍🏽🎣
Sick video. I love me some creek wading fishing!
nice nature! i could sit there the hole day and just listening to the birds...... yew👊
Sweet vid Brooksy! Similar to the schoolys you get in the creeks and estuaries over here in England. Spicy!

Yes that was a catfish nest. Those rapala cd in perch are deadly on bass. My old man caught his pb on one about 54cm somewhere in the wilsons river system. Let em sink into the snags so deadly
Love the bass video subscribed cause of your GT vids.. but I’m from Florida so I loved the basss video.. the little river was so nice. Figured you’d definitely get one from the popper..
Beautiful little spot!
So sick. Love some small river fishing.
Australian Bass fishing is the best, doesnt matter what size they are they always fight hard. Keep the bass vids coming
relaxing to watch fresh and natural
I lost it when you said "that's bullshit". Exactly what i thought lol 😂😂😂😂😂..
The hats looking fresh too
Sick video bro I love the fishing content
Dude great video again. Keep posting bro
Love a good bass video 👌🏽 Pb is 45cm Keep it up boys 👍🏼
Catfish do nest in 'beds' when spawning... They become super skitzy and protective and will hit any lure. I've caught a few on some bass adventures
Keep going with this. My season is FAST coming to an end. Then i guess it's time to go back to work to fuel the fishing addiction. #yeeman
Awesome vid man
Haha funny u say that me and my mate went bass fishing he nearly stood on the beast brown snake on the way into the spot I pretty much jumped on his back and rode him out of there

Brooksy!!! Love it
Brooksy ON, Brooksy ON ..BIG BASS ....BIG BASS.... Pity couldn't get a shot of the Platypus ... Really Cool Background noises .. Lyrebirds, Cicadas .... Great Spot !!!!!
What do you use when using small lures and why- loop knot, snap swivel/clip or tying straight on the lure? I personally like snap swivels as it saves time and line when it comes to changing the lure or if I want to change to a rig. I’ve had no issues running snaps just after your opinions, thoughts and reasons.
The cyclest rock in my shoe , classic
used to live in a small town called bellingen as a kid great bass fishing and yes cats make nests been bitten by cats a few times walking through there nests accidently.

Yeah catfish nest in spring time. See heaps in the shallows around dams in nsw. Try using small cicada lure fished really slow with heaps of pauses. Does the trick in nsw
Beautiful spot man .
Do more bass videos ! Love it
You make awesome videos
was clearing my throat listening to him talk, mad video
"The psychoest rock in my shoe" hahahaha
This is the most Aussie video i have seen
Give a small swimbait a shot or a micro popper I'm sure they would get crushed! Awesome vid as always keep it up!
The ambience sounds on this video are so fucking relaxingggg
that looks more like somewhere you'd find red bellies rather than browns. And brown's don't last long around large well fed red bellies.
Love the video Brooksy!! Keep them coming!
Catfish do make nests, like burrow down holes in the water bed and lurk down there.
Awesome video i never seen a Australian bass, Would be cool to see you doing some big saltwater striper fishing if you ever visit america

great video. what creek where you on
when fish spawn they create what we call in the U.S. "Beds". im not sure if that is an official term but its called a bed in our DNR books not a nest.
Do more of these vids bro!
Brooksy mate have word 😂 “catfish nest”
Nice. Does bugspray work?

Yeh surprised you didnt get a few tuna there too man😂😂
Australia sounds awesome. Snakes, bulls, ticks f yeah. And A plattapusss. A duck that swims.
every migrating fish makes nests. its normally the male that guards the nest for 1 month to protect the spawn
Yes they make nests
During summer I hear, I saw a fish at least 50 or 60 cm in a river near me, I got a good look at it since it was really close to the surface, sadly the fish was on an angle I couldn’t get a lure in front of it (and this was at a river I thought had like no fish, guess that’s why they have a chance to get so huge), also I have hooked a platypus before, it ate my bait luckily it popped off.
Any chance yall can do a tutorial on how to work those big salt water poppers and stickies?

When you catch a 14lb Australian bass then you can bitch about the "skitzy American bass". Just busting your balls bro. Love the videos no matter where your fishing. That's some beautiful country down there. Cheers from Florida

Not sounding very Australian being scared of everything 😂 And size never matters boys 😉
Looks like a tilapia nest
